@weaselbuilt ll From here
doubtless, if the girl hadn’t already left by the time the blackrabbit had arrived, let alone AFTER she had. popgoes had quietly reported that there was a very spooked child, and bonnie couldn’t help but worry about whatever the girl had been sheltering herself from.
but it wouldn’t do to worry too much. there was a scared child, after all.
“the only thing i can tell you for sure is that you’re safe here,” she said, floating to at least somewhat get on the child’s level ( just a couple of inches off the ground, that was progress ). a tilt of her head and the gentleness of her tone could convey the emotion her facial features couldn’t. “my name’sbonnie. did you need any food or water?”
She was used to closets by now. Tight spaces where her sadistic freak of a bother liked to shove her into when he’d have enough of her crying, the place where her father had come to lock her up....being away from them almost felt unnatural at this point. She wanted to be away from that nightmare of a house, but she had forgotten how to deal with anything outside its walls.
This small closet was a refuge. A hiding place place away from her father descending rapidly into madness. She was tired of seeing people die.
Her head jerked up when the animatronic approached, thinking it was her father that had come to collect her. It’s far more relieving to see this rabbit...no matter how strange she may seem.
Nothing could be worse than him...
“Uh...” it took some time to find the courage to speak, the child hadn’t said a vowel in days at least. “I wouldn’t...mind some water...”

Asahi watched the girl quietly. Fear & confusion lingered in his eyes. He didn’t understand what was going on, or maybe he shouldn’t either. Shifting further into the alleyway, all he could do was watch. Him? That woke up dangerous memories, a war inside the childs mind and a tearing feeling on his very consciousness. Despite the fear & confusion, there was also coldness in his eyes.
He didn’t want to care about a stranger. As much as his heart told him to not be so fucking cold. Because he was more than his father, was he not?
Maybe not.
There was no reply from him.
The tension only built in her shoulders- the lack of response she had wasn’t reassuring. Was he going to shout when father came near? She couldn’t ask, couldn’t say anything else without making too much noise. All she could do was look at him with pleading eyes, hearing father’s footsteps come closer and closer.
“Yui? Yui!” she heard him shout, and she shrunk against the wall reflexively. “You goddamn bitch! Come back here! I’ll make you ever regret leaving that closet!”
Headcanon: Skin Fragility
Yui’s skin has been so greasy and oily for so long as a result of living in the unkempt house of her father that cleaning it off suddenly will cause severe skin irritation - making red, sensitive and peeling. It will become more adapt to being dry with time, but this unfortunate side effect will probably last for a few weeks.
Headcanon: Food Repulsion
As a result of being force fed Oil by her father, Yui has a violent and intense repulsion to any foods or drink that vaguely remind her of it. Anything fatty or greasy can greatly upset her stomach in addition to causing her a great amount of anxiety.
Thick liquids and creams also have a similar effect to this- varying from soups to certain sauces.

“You’re all alone? Where’s your parents?” An unfamiliar voice drew closer with each passing footstep growing more clear. It was up until a hermit approached her with curious eyes.
What’s worrisome is her complexion. He has no idea what’s dripping from her clothes and skin. It was slightly unbearable from how powerful the scent was. It was if she never showered for a year.
“Look at me. I’m up here.” He crouched down in front of her. “What’s your name? I’m just wondering how you got lost. It is a big forest i know.”
She had been planning on ignoring whoever was passing by, too overwhelmed by her current situation to think about remembering how she was supposed to interact with other people. It’d been too long since she had been outside. Too long since she’d talked to anyone outside that goddamn house.
But the mention of her parents...that was enough to snap the girl back into reality.
“No!” the desperate cry comes out more as a screech as she scrambled back away from him.
“Y-you’re not sending me back! I’m not going to live with that f-freak again! I’d rather starve to death before he makes me drink that oil again! I-I’m not letting him kill me!”

Sadly enough, seeing an unconscious body on the sidewalk in the middle of the night wasn’t exactly all that weird of sight for Nath. They were usually drunk and if it was a fellow female she would try to help her out, first see if she was okay and then get her a cab so she could go home. It was the least she could do. It was a big surprise for her when she realized this time it wasn’t a grown woman but actually a child. Her heart jumped and she could feel it on the back of her throat. Quickly she kneeled next to her and with some hesitation, she tried to wake her up by softly shaking her shoulder.
“Hey… little girl, are you okay?” Clearly not… Nath bit her lower lip and looked around as if she were trying to find something to help her in this situation. What did you even do in a case like that?
In her dream, mt. Fuji didn’t erupt as it usually did. Instead, the ground shook beneath her feet, and the young girl clung onto anything she could to keep herself stable.
....
It was a slow transition from her dream to the waking world, and the dirty little girl only became aware of the difference between them by her drained strength in the real world. Her eyelids were already heavy to open, and she couldn’t find it in herself to be able to lift her head off the ground to get a better look at the stranger.
She was so hungry, so tired...
“.....”
She only had a frightened, unblinking stare to give to the stranger. No, she’s certainly not okay. But saying that aloud would only come out as harsh and bitter.

– The detective was in for another case, and if he knew it involved investigating a house like this, he wasn’t sure if he would even take it. Though, it’s a missing child’s case, so it had to be done. This house felt disgusting to him, it made him uneasy, but if he could solve this case sooner, the faster he’ll get out of this damned home.
Upon hearing a sound from the closet, he could feel his stomach twist a bit. He’s a bit scared to open it, and see what’s hiding inside it. Surely, it can’t be anything disgusting. Possibly an animal of some sort, yeah. Walking closer to it, Shuichi made sure to not make a lot of noise, and he swiftly opened the door, only to see a…
…
What…Is a child doing here…?
Shuichi was silent, he was surprised to see a child in here. Judging from her appearance, it seemed like she must have been here for a long time by now. Perhaps this is the child he’s supposed to be searching for? Recollecting his thoughts, he cleared his throat before speaking;
" …Wh-What are you doing here? There’s n-nothing to be afraid of. “
The detective spoke softly as he kneeled down a bit, hoping to not scare the child. –
It had been so long since she had left this small space. It felt she had forgotten that there existed anyone else in the world other than her and her dad. The monster and the little rat that scurried away from him.
What was this man thinking? How disgusting did she look right now with all this oil on her skin and the infected scabs she had created by nervously scratching away at her arms?
She’s repulsive, isn’t she?
Despite the detective’s reassurance, the child skins back further against the wall. He didn’t get what was happening here, did he? There was no way he would believe her...
But she had to try. She was getting so tired...everything hurt with how long she had been staying awake.
“M...my dad put me in here.” she confessed, voice dry and hoarse from lack of hydration “Is he home? Please....can you get me out?”

Alistair smiles, hoping it masks his concern - this poor girl’s clothes were covered in grease stains, and she had a terrified glimmer behind her eye he’d seen before. Of course, it wasn’t his business to jump to conclusions, but it really wasn’t much of a jump.
“You’re quite welcome, young lady.” He’d picked one of the sweeter breeds, a hybrid he’d been working on for a few years now. Now he’s sitting across the table from her, not wanting to crowd her when she already seemed frightened. Apples can’t fix everything, but a snack and a tall cup of water had seemed desperately in order.
She became more courageous as the moments passed by, taking bigger bites from the food she was offered. It was reassuring for her to bed allowed something so refreshing after all this time.
She felt less sick already, and the tension in her shoulders dropped. Clean food wasn’t going to wash all the dirt and filth off her skin that she desperately wanted to be rid of, but it was a nice change of pace.
“....” she didn’t know what she was supposed to answer to that. Her hands settled in front of her as she finished the next slice of the apple. She grimaced, noticing the stain her hands were surely going to leave behind.
“I don’t think....a lady is the right title for me...”
incorporeal-introspection:
Of all the nightmares Tag had found himself drawn to, this was by far one of the most…pleasant. It seemed, on it’s surface, to simply be a quiet little town situated at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Very little was unusual about the it save for the fact that it was devoid of any people, and yet he was certain that this was not a pleasant dream. The air was thick with a strange heavy feeling he couldn’t quite place, like something terrible was about to happen. But what?
As he explored the town further he began to wonder what kind of nightmare it was. The emptiness made him think of a chasing dream, but that lingering dread suggested it was more sinister. It didn’t seem he was going to get many answers though, or at least not until he found the dreamer.
It was then that a quiet sobbing distracted him from his sightseeing, and he turned in the direction it came from and walked. Slowly, he grew closer, and in turn grew more concerned. It was unsettling to hear such distress in a voice so young…
Tag rounded a corner, and his worst assumptions were confirmed. This was a child’s nightmare, but it did not originate from a childish fear. For a moment he wasn’t sure how to approach, choosing instead to stand in the shadows of a nearby building and observe.
However, he could only take so much of this before the scene before him grew too upsetting, and he found himself speaking out of instinct. Anything was better than just leaving her there on her own, with this empty town and steadily growing pressure in the air.
“Forgive me, I…couldn’t help but overhear. Are you quite alright, child? Who’s trying to kill you..?”
Oil mixed with salty water, and Yui couldn’t even try to dry her tears without feeling more disgusting than she already does whenever her hand went anywhere near her skin. She wanted to rip it all off, find some way to scrape and clean out everything that made her so filthy.
But she didn’t want to die. She didn’t want to end up like Goro, chopped apart and served as a delicacy. She found it hard to breathe as she imagined how her father would soon be dragging her out of the closet, pinning her down to pour more and more grease down her throat until she thought she’d drown in it.
Would he even be patient enough to wait for her body to change? Or would he chop her head off now that she was defenseless? The thought alone sent her into a panic, and she couldn’t hold her head off the pavement of the empty road. Shoulders shaking, crying harder and harder.
She didn’t expect to hear another voice. There was never anyone else here with her. She couldn’t even force open her eyes with how much they stung. She was just barely able to pry her hands away from her face to answer the question of the stranger.
After all, what else did she have to lose anymore?
“M...my dad....” she replied, her voice hoarse and strained between sobs “He’s b-been...w-waiting for me to f-fall asleep...”

She was so hungry. Yet, even with the little scrap of food she held in her hand- some half eaten hot dog another kid hadn’t the appetite to finish- she couldn’t bring herself to bring it any closer than a few inches away from her mouth.
Even now, as something she had fished out of the trash, it still felt so greasy. She it on the floor, hands shaking again.
She was already so dirty, so repulsive - the thought of adding to the problem by consuming any more grease made her want to vomit.
“Why can’t there be any real food around here...?” she questions bitterly to the otherwise dimly lit room.

She knew she should have stayed quiet. Back when her brother was alive, he had always warned her that terrible things would happen to her if she ever spoke about what went inside their home. She thought it was just a threat he used to keep her quiet about what the sadistic little freak like to do with her...but she should have known better than that.
Adults were terrible. They were greedy. They never listened. No one wanted to believe her- about her father had killed her brother in front of her and served his body at his restaurant; about how he had cut off his own leg when she refused to be next.
You’re just a crazy kid.
She’d been told she was being sent to this place - this ward to try and fix that. But nothing they did felt like it helped. When they washed off all the grease, her skin turned dry and brittle- peeling off easily with enough effort.
It hurts. It hurts!
It’s all she could think about, hands brought up to her eyes to try and rub away the tears that were building up again; sitting against the wall.
“I hate this place...”

“Brrring...brring...” the strange sound left the child’s lips repeatedly, echoing through the forest; closely matching that of a kitchen timer going off. She rocked back and forth, knees curled up to her chest.
Was she to do? There was far too much dirt here- too much to ever clean up as it stuck to her stained clothes and grease-covered skin. She felt even dirtier, even more filthy than she knew she usually was.
It’s too much to think about, so she didn’t.
“Saturation levels unable to be determined. Brrring, brring...”

She gave a shudder as she she entered the place- a place she had hoped would be abandoned; far away from the possible clutches of her father. She could feel something wet clinging to the bottom of her bare feet.
The girl grimaced, trying in vain to shake it off.
“Brnnng...calculating saturation level...” she muttered, trying to find a wall she could lean against in the darkness of this room. “Saturation at 2%...no precautions required...”
Strange. If not grease...than what was it that she had stepped on?
