beautiful insects named "weatherbug" keep texting me
My fav weather app on Android got updated! Honestly I've been using weatherbug since it was a kinda adwarey early 2000s desktop application and it's just better than ever
From the WeatherBug app. They keep pushing Irma's turn to the north. At this rate, a western Florida strike could happen.
That got VERY real as soon as it turned into that shape. Love and my thoughts to everyone in the area. Please take action and be safe!
Definitely riding today but, the wind is going to be against me hard, and I mean that literally. it's windy and its gusting, 20-36MPH wind and gusts. Ugh. Third ride in 3 days, so my legs will be barking, this may end up a 10miler because I can only do so much against 20+ mph winds with 3 day ride legs.
CRAP. Now the storms up above us are now down here coming at us. They are saying nothing major tornadic, but 60MPH winds and 1" hail. Just what we need. Thanks Spring, you bring pretty flowers but your showers can go away now please. Looks like I'm due around 10pm so in 15-20 minutes. Hope it passes fast and does very little to no damage. And hope everyone in its path is safe!
Let's break down the different types of drought.
Usually when there is a lack of rain for a prolonged period, we think of that as a drought, but drought can actually be broken up into different types to explain differences in regions and their needs. Let’s break down the 5 different types.
Meteorological Drought
Meteorological drought can be considered the source of all the other types of drought. It is defined as a lack of precipitation over a certain region-dependent duration. For example, the Desert Southwest can go longer without rain than the Pacific Northwest before drought sets in.
What the shit?
Are we making dust bowls great again?
