Again, nothing to say about Jax/Gillian since they were threatening in the books but not in the series yet. Since Volume 10 is not out yet, they're still quite threatening, but without their armies who knows how they'll do. Their powers are extremely broken and cool—wonder if it affects Silver Eyes.

Jax Asturias:

Jax Asturias is a character from RWBY: Before the Dawn and served as the main antagonist of the novel. He was a former Huntsman hailing from Shade Academy who deserted in order to restore the Vacuan monarchy, ruling as a king and leader of The Crown.

Following his failed attempt to destroy Shade Academy, he was defeated by Yatsuhashi Daichi using his Memory Wiping, which was boosted by his sister's Aura Siphon enhancement. He was later arrested by the authorities along with the other members of The Crown.

In the "Volume 9 Bonus Ending Animatic," he and his sister were broken out of prison by Tyrian Callows and Mercury Black, upon which they were recruited into Salem's Inner Circle.

Appearance: Jax has black hair which is tied into a top knot and a silver diadem over his head. He wears a blue linen duster embroidered with spirals. The shapes seem to swirl on the fabric whenever Jax uses his Semblance. In the "Volume 9 Bonus Ending Animatic," he is shown wearing a prisoner's uniform after his arrest.

Personality: At his very core, Jax seemingly relishes death and destruction. He has no real ambitions beyond feeding his own fragile ego and lust for conquest and cares little for the lives of the people that he has to step over in order to see his goals made a reality. Even the people who are loyal to him, such as his own sister, appear to hold little importance to him in the grand scheme of things. Jax also highly idolizes the lawless and violent days of Malik the Sunderer and wants nothing more than to drag Vacuo and the rest of the world with it back into those ancient times.

Xanthe Rumpole, Jax's former professor, described Jax as an arrogant man who always talked a good game but never had anything to back up his claims. During his time at Shade, Jax would often just follow the lead of his twin sister, Gillian Asturias. Jax is shown to possess extreme delusions of grandeur, believing himself to be the descendant of Malik the Sunderer, the first king of Vacuo, despite the lineage having been stated to be untraceable, and as such, firmly believes that it is his birthright to rule over Vacuo. He is also particularly ruthless in comparison to his sister, forcing her to give him all her Aura despite it possibly endangering her life.

Jax was also shown to possess an apparent fearlessness, which could be interpreted by some as suicidal insanity. Win or lose, he was determined to keep fighting to the very end and refused to consider either surrender or retreat when his sister tried to warn him that the battle was no longer in their favor. Jax was even willing to force his own army—many of whom were his unwilling slaves—to continue fighting alongside him to the death and even seized control of his own sister when she tried to talk him out of the plan.

It's also implied that Jax was an expert when it came to the art of manipulation, as Theodore mentions that he had "corrupted" his sister into going along with his plans and he proved charismatic enough that he was able to easily convince the rest of his team as well as others into siding with him and forming The Crown.

Powers and Abilities: Jax's weapon of choice is a simple sword, theorized to be an ancient sword from old Vacuo. However, he lacks much skill using it. According to his father, Finn Asturias, Jax has a naturally extremely low amount of Aura. He learned how to create an Aura shield at Shade Academy.

Semblance - Mind Control: Jax's Semblance, Mind Control, like his sister's, is his true form of power, allowing him to dominate the wills of others, typically by telepathically influencing their minds in the form of pushing a subconscious suggestion to others. Jax is able to use his Semblance on multiple people at a time, with its effects lasting for extended periods of time, such as weeks or months. When used on others, their Auras take on a nearly identical appearance to his own.

Gillian Asturias:

Gillian Asturias is a character from RWBY: Before the Dawn. She was a former Huntress hailing from Shade Academy who deserted in order to restore the Vacuan monarchy, ruling as a queen and leader of The Crown.

Following the failed attack on Shade Academy, Gillian attempted to stop her brother from carrying out his suicidal plan, eventually defeating him with a combination of her Aura Siphon and Yatsuhashi Daichi's Memory Wiping. She was later arrested by the authorities along with the other members of The Crown.

In the "Volume 9 Bonus Ending Animatic," she and her brother were broken out of prison by Tyrian Callows and Mercury Black, upon which they were recruited into Salem's Inner Circle.

Appearance: Gillian is a fair-skinned woman with black hair braided into a crown braid. She wears a long dress with many sheer layers of blue, white, green, and purple that resembles running water, and a silver chain was wrapped around her waist matching the slim silver diadem that gleams on her head. She has a crown-shaped brand mark on her wrist. In the Volume 9 Bonus Ending Animatic, she is shown wearing a prisoner's uniform after her arrest.

Personality: Gillian is an extremely cunning individual, said to have been highly ambitious in her goals, being the top of her class in Shade Academy. Gillian had an extreme obsession with the history of Vacuo, and delusions of grandeur, believing herself to be the descendant of royalty (despite it being an untraceable lineage), and thus having the right to rule. Coco noted that the crown-shaped mark on her wrist (said to be a birthmark proving royal lineage by her father, who showed Coco his own prior, and claimed both his children inherited it) appeared to be a brand rather than a birthmark.

Gillian's obsession with the Vacuan monarchy and her perceived place within it has dragged her and the rest of her team over the edge into madness as they are driven further and further into committing more extreme criminal acts.

Gillian is shown to have a very royal attitude, being very demanding and somewhat short-tempered, but still keeping a cool head. She is shown to despise Atlas and its technology like her father, to the point of being unable to stand the sight of a Scroll. She also refused to use Dust in combat and fought without it.

Despite this, Gillian's main loyalty is to her brother, truly loving him above all else to the point of helping him form The Crown and abandoning her ambitions for it. Still, she had a greater fear of death than love for her brother and was willing to betray him if it meant saving herself.

As implied by Theodore, Gillian was said to have been "corrupted" by her brother Jax's influence, meaning that Gillian might not have always been the way she was. Also, her own attempts to stop The Crown and her brother upon learning of the severe threat it was becoming to their lives shows that Gillian was nowhere near as fanatic or obsessed with their crusade as Jax was.

Powers and Abilities: Gillian was stated to be a powerful Huntress in her own right, being skilled enough to reach the top of her class during her time at Shade Academy. Her weapon was a simple bow and arrow due to her hatred of technology and she also didn't use Dust in combat. According to her father, Finn Asturias, she has a naturally high amount of Aura.

Semblance - Aura Siphon: Gillian's Semblance, Aura Siphon, is her true power, which allows her to transfer Aura between different people, much like Jaune Arc. However, she is also able to drain Aura from others to recover her own, as well as storing it for herself. This adds onto her own Aura, forming a rainbow of color. Gillian is also capable of forming a chain of Aura by draining it from one person, and using herself as a link to transfer it into another. Aura passed onto others will eventually fade, and she needs physical contact to transfer it.

This Semblance grants Gillian numerous advantages in battle. Due to her being able to siphon Aura and store it into herself, this granted her the ability to continuously siphon Aura from her opponents to simultaneously reinforce her own Aura reserves and protection while at the same time draining her opponents, allowing her to weaken their own defenses and possibly disable the use of their Semblances. Gillian's Semblance in particular would be vital in The Crown's operations as she was able to provide her twin brother Jax the vast Aura reserves he needed to make liberal and free use of his own Semblance to build their army.

When Gillian's mother, Luna Asturias, was pregnant with Gillian and Jax, she had become sick near constantly and her Aura would deplete with no clear reason as to why. At the time, the same would happen with Jax. It was thought to be a condition until it was realized Gillian's Semblance had been draining them. An emergency procedure was needed to save Jax from being drained, and Luna died in the process. This shows that Gillian's Semblance was already powerful enough that even prior to her birth, it was already active.
