Y'all, I have to write an Event Reflections essay as an Extra Credit assignment for class, and the impulsive thoughts got to me and I am now writing my essay on my experiences at @dashcon-two , seeing @strange-aeons and @the-muppet-joker fight till he croaked, @xiranjayzhao try to French Revolution @raccoonmilf at closing ceremonies, Tumblr Sexymen dance for our entertainment, and myself and my spouse, @courts-cosplay , doing Oncest in the DashCon 2 ballpit before teaching ballroom.

I have to make this sound academic.

Welp, I was hoping for further feedback, but I guess my professor is leaving how much she knew about the original DashCon a mystery!

As promised, here is the finished Event Reflections essay! IT WAS SO HARD TO KEEP THE PAPER UNDER THE WORDS MAXIMUM! ;-;

The format is a little weird because of the change from Word to Google Doc, but after the "References" section is where I posted the screenshot of the feedback I received from the professor!

Headcanon: Caine can "sense" data, specifically if it's one conjured/manifested by humans. By "consuming" or just being around the humans' output, he's able to "taste", "hear", "touch", and even "smell" it.

Whatever it is that the humans conjure up, Caine CAN eat; whether it is realistically inedible or edible-- because both are the same to him, being made up of "Macroverse data".

He might be able to peer into others' minds and see what these outputs are, but it's the equivalent of seeing a mouthwatering burger on paper; there's no texture, no smell, no taste. It's all a flat, 2d image.

Only IF a human conjures it because they know how it should feel/taste/smell like, is Caine able to truly comprehend it; and soon, he might even be able to mimic it.

Besides that, Caine has been fed nothing but negative data over the years, and because of that; he's able to sense the data Pomni conjured up from a mile away, since he's been "starved" the past 2 decades and can't really contain himself. His mouth also can't stop drooling once he senses there's a human-input data in the circus.

Anyways, I sacrificed my hand for this I will be taking my leave now

The older I get, the more I appreciate fandom Tumblr, honestly. I've been here for over 13 years now, I got to see The OnceLings(tm) rise to infamy, Mishapocalypse, the height of SuperWhoLock, The Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons, I literally got to watch DashCon happen in real-time on this website and then had the absolute blessing of working with @dashcon-two and even wrote an essay for my degree over that experience.

In an age where ads are everywhere, everything asking for your private data, everything having a premium, jobs literally searching through your social medias, A.I. destroying the world as we know it, the world being on fire, etc, Tumblr feels like one of the last bastions where I can actually unmask for a bit, geek out with fellow fans, take part in silly, nonsensical polls to see who is the next Tumblr Sexyman, read ridiculous stuff from gimmick blogs or see @strange-aeons and @the-muppet-joker duke it out, revisit old Tumblr through @heritageposts , and so much more. I'm glad this website exists and I'm glad y'all, the clowns on here I've come to know and love, exist. It's not perfect, but it's legitimately the closest I can get to something I can call home.

Yes, it's a hellsite, but it's OUR hellsite, and we all built this circus tent pole-by-pole.
