A change
Today, an acquaintance of mine was about to throw away a wrapper of something and then saw me and thought she'd throw it away discreetly. I asked her if she ever felt ashamed or embarrassed about her actions and her eyes twinkled as she smiled and said "Nah".
I found her statement very rude and disgusting. People post quotes and writings about how one should never judge someone and then they do such sickening things. These incidents are what tell me what hypocrisy truly means. This ignorant behaviour towards the environment shows how educated a person really is. It reflects on the upbringing of the person and their awareness and care towards others.
I never expected someone literate (or illiterate as a matter of fact) to do something so genuinely backward. People are working hard to clean and save the earth and a fraction of people who live in the 21st century with the mentality of some weird generation (I don't believe any generation would do this) ruin everything.
Yes, I do judge people. Just not on the parameters such as appearance but rather on the parameters of their mentality and actions that cause harm to the environment, physically, verbally and mentally.
So, if you see someone do this, stop them from doing this indiscretion because they clearly aren't educated enough to that themselves. Not all will follow it so we must step up for what is said is true. WE are the change we wish to see. WE are the change we NEED to see.
