Brook honestly wasn't sure what to make of you. Sure, he had friends now, it wasn't the weird fuzzy feeling he got around you guys that made him feel strange. It was the way you looked at him, the way you stared in his eyes and really saw him. He had lived a long time and had never seen that.

You were an enigma.

He was dead-set on staying an arms length from you. He knew what this feeling had done to Scarlet and he wasn't about to let the same happen to him. He wasn't about to risk you and let Satan know how much he cared. His apathy kept you safe.

At least that's what he told himself every time you smiled at him, clinging onto his arms and giggling when he blushed. You knew how he felt. You knew everything about him. The teasing made it even harder to deny, how you always seemed to know exactly what was going through his mind and calling him out on it. He was scared that it would be revealed and he would lose everything.

And yet Satan never said a word. Either he didn't know or didn't care. Every time he did a reaping and came back with another soul it was just the same mocking, nothing that involved you. His heart was beating out of its cage, and yet he kept that same blank expression on his face. He would protect you.

Satan would never hurt what was precious to him.

I’m The Grim Reaper - Scarlet x GN Reader

“Scarlet, stay still.” Y/N orders. Scarlet merely lets out a throaty noise.

“I don’t get it. What’s even the point of this?” Scarlet questions, tail thrashing back and forth impatiently. Y/N applies more red sparkles to Scarlet’s nose, “It’s a fashion statement. Also, it looks cute!” They point to their own face, cheeks coated in F/C sparkles.

Scarlet let’s out a huff, averting her gaze to the floor, “It’s messy.” Y/N only lets out a hum in response.

Y/N feels a warmth where their hand cups at Scarlet’s face, “Are you....blushing?” They cock an eyebrow, unable to stop a corner of their lip from twitching upwards.

Scarlet’s eyes widen, she’s been figured out. “Whatever! Just get this fucking done with already!” She growls. Y/N only chuckles in return, “Why are you even blushing?” They pry, going back to the task at hand.

Scarlet scoffs, “You’re really fucking close.” She murmurs. Y/N grins, “Want me to get closer?”

“W-w-what?! N-no!!!” Scarlet’s face turns an even brighter hue of red. “Scarlet, can you stop blushing? I can’t tell where I already put glitter.”

“Shut up.”

ITGR Headcanon (Ep 42-45 SPOILERS)

Lightstalker likes Scarlet more than Chase

Chase would just be napping one minute, Lightstalker curled up against his head

But as soon as Scarlet gets up, Lightstalker follows

When Chase wakes up, he’s very confused as to where Lightstalker could have gone

Chase gets up and makes his way to the living room just to see Lightstalker curled up with Scarlet on the couch

Lightstalker really left him to go cuddle with Scarlet

What the hell?!

Chase is unconscious for three days just to wake up to this?!

“Lightstalker, come here.” He’ll say in a baby voice

Lightstalker ignores Chase and instead nuzzles further into Scarlet’s jacket

“.....Scarlet, did you bribe my own cat into liking you more?” “What.”

Chase will watch this unfold for a few days

Lightstalker following Scarlet around and cuddling up to her whenever she’s sitting down

Scarlet noticed Chase glaring

“Here,” She’ll go to lift Lightstalker and hand her over to Chase

Lightstalker will sit on Chase’s lap for a few seconds before hopping down and climbing back into Scarlet’s lap

Scarlet looks down at Lightstalker and then looks up and stares Chase dead in the eyes with a smirk on her face

“She likes me more.” “STOPPP! I don’t wanna hear it!”
