Is there a wedding fandom? If so, I want to join
Y'all I bought my wedding dress today! 😍🙈
Ah
I have got wedding fever and it won’t go away 😖😍
I am light years away from anything remotely resembling marriage—hello, have you heard, my boyfriend is moving across the country in a few weeks? I'm doing a stellar job of being very upset about this on my personal social networking platforms —and I am an avowed detractor of the wedding industrial complex, but Capitol Hill Style linked to this dress, and I clicked on it, and I was like, "Holy fuck, if I got married, I would wear the shit out of this."
I came to that reaction because I love this dress so very much—it has sequins, and a cheeky-but-still-conservative tulip skirt, and the waistline would hide my much-hated stomach—but, like, where the hell do you wear something with this bright white of a skirt? To a wedding, dur. To your wedding. I would wear this to the wedding that I don't really want to have.
It also costs $109, which makes me think I should just buy it and marry myself.
Update :)
So... I haven't posted anything in a while.
Truth be told, my wedding brain was causing me to lose sleep so I though that I would take a break over the Easter Long weekend.
It was a fun relaxing weekend and I got some truly needed rest.
Now I am back to wedding planning!
Tonight we are discussing our photographer and hopefully settling on one.
We also received the lily cupcake toppers in the mail today for our engagement party blue velvet cupcakes :) They are going to look awesome!

How Did You Walk into a Desk with Your Face?
The wedding has been on the brain. John and I have been really getting our butts in gear in order to accomplish a bunch of things - including the invitations! I made a "to do" list at work the other day, and it became very real how much more we need to do in the next couple months. We are at 101 days people! ALMOST DOUBLE DIGITS!
For the past several nights I've been working on varying portions of the invitations. In all my excitement of completing a piece last night, I ran up to John (who was cooking dinner) to show him. He was plating the food, and just as I did so, a scalding hot piece of noodle and cheese (John made a delicious baked mac n cheese) landed on my bare foot. Which quickly turned into an "ow ow ow" trying to get it off and not ruin what I had just made. No sooner than that was done and we had a little laugh, did I walk right into a newly hung shelf. Effectively bruising my eye socket. While I cried with an ice pack stuck to my face, John fretted over going with me to our engaged encounter this weekend while I had a black eye. Typical us. John, who didn't see it happen, somewhat impressed and concerned, later asked, "How did you walk into a desk with your face?" I'm not quite that talented, but it is a wonder how I did it, since the shelves are hung above the desk. If you ask John though, he will likely characterize me as very clumsy.
Luckily, I don't have a full on black eye, it's just a little blue. But we might still want to hang that shelf a little higher.
