Day 9: WeebSquad Yeah, couldn’t find a better title for it. Anyway, let’s get started! On a day in March of this year, I had, by chance, come across a live stream of one of the people I had subscribed to on YouTube. In that stream, a certain discord server was created that would unknowingly take my life over. In the server, I had the chance to meet many people who, like me, were completely obsessed with anime! I had fun in the early days of the server going into a VC and listening to music through the bot, worshipping the one true prophet, Dave, experiencing a war of the dankest proportions, and fighting over flowers. It was some of the funnest times I’ve had! As the server went on, it went from being a community of fans and admins to a band of friends, strengthening bonds through countless activities and events, both in server and, for a lot of the people who lived near and knew one another before the server, irl. Those who weren’t active left the server, and those who caused too much conflict were kicked. I can’t express just how much fun the server has been for me, and the people in it, my friends, are responsible. Through the countless group watches, the games of hangman, the playful insults, the idolgasms, the party games, the planning, and everything else, I couldn’t be happier with this band of idiots. I may have been a nuisance at some points, but they stuck with me. Love ‘em all to death, even those I don’t talk to as much. They’re all funny as hell, and I wouldn’t want anything less. Actually, a few of them helped me come up with topics for this year’s 12 Days, and I gotta thank them for that. THANK YOU! ‘kay done! But really, thanks to whoever in the server is reading this.
