Hi, welcome back to Weed Magic 101. So far in this series we've covered basic safety precautions, the fundamentals, bongs and its relation to elemental magic, and how sigils and spell tags can be used in joints. Today we're talking about adding weed to altars and what that can look like for your practice. With that said let's get right into the post.
I think most of us know what an altar is but for those unaware an altar is a space dedicated to your craft, an ancestor, or deity. They can contain a lot of things such as deity statues or artworks, photos of ancestors, various tools, more on that in a later post, candles, crystals, you name it. If it's important to the practitioner it usually goes on the altar.
Incorporating weed into your altar is fairly easy. First you need to decide what exactly you want on your altar— it could be a bong, a jar of buds, some joints, your edibles, a vape, your rolling tray. I have cats so as much as I would love to have my bong on my altar that's not something I can do. You also need to consider if you're putting it on a deity or ancestral altar if you would consider it disrespectful to place it on said altar. For example, one of my grandmothers was avidly against weed. If I made an ancestral altar for her then I would consider it disrespectful to put weed on her altar.
Some of my top picks for things you can put on your altar are:
Bongs - In my practice they represent all 4 elements and that's a key part of my practice.
Joints - They're small, easy to grab and go with in case you need a quick spell, and easy to replenish. I make a bunch of different spell joints and label them for intention, replacing them once I use them.
A Grinder & small jar of buds - These go hand in hand in my practice as I like to grind intent into my weed and it makes for easy access.
Vape pen - I love using my pen as both a wand and as a quick and easy way to smoke when I'm on a time crunch.
My altar is designed around grab and go and other low energy spells. Your altar might be completely different. Pick the tools that are ultimately right for you when adding weed to your altar. Get high, stay blessed.

Welcome back to Weed Magic 101. We're officially 5 posts into the series now and we've already covered a good variety of topics. Today's post will be a part one about the tools of weed magic. When I say tools of weed magic I'm referring to the stuff you use to prepare your weed for consumption. Today we'll be covering the grinder, rolling tray, rolling papers, rolling machine, and lighters. In part 2 we'll be covering vape pens, bongs, edibles, pre-rolls, and dabs. With that being said let's jump into the post.
The Grinder
The grinder, as the name implies, is a small tool used to grind flower into more usable sized pieces. The grinder is not only an important tool in preparing weed but is also a handy tool in weed magic. You can incorporate your grinder into weed magic by grinding your intent into the weed. Another thing you can do with your grinder is grind clockwise to manifest and evoke things and counter clockwise to banish or cleanse.
The Rolling Tray
The rolling tray, as the name suggests, is a tray that catches any weed that falls out of the paper as you roll a joint. The rolling tray can be incorporated into weed magic through it's use as a travel altar. With this travel altar you can roll joints with intention for whatever spell you're trying to do.
Rolling Papers
Rolling papers, as the name suggests, are small papers used to roll joints on the rolling tray. As we've discussed in a prior entry in the series one of the main ways I see it used in weed magic is through spell tags and sigils drawn on them.
The Rolling Machine
The rolling machine, as the name implies, is a small machine that you to roll joints. They're commonly used by people who struggle to handroll or people who want a more even well burning joint. You can incorporate it into weed magic by rolling joints with intention. It's also used in tandem with sigil rolling papers and spell tag rolling papers.
The Lighter
Everybody knows what a lighter is we've all seen and used one at some point in our lives. Lighters are one of the most underrated tool in magic in general. In weed magic it's the tool that lets us light our joint and charge our sigil or spell tag rolling papers. It's used to light the bowl and smoke from the bong with intention.
Tools of Weed Magic Part 2 will be coming out this Friday at 10AM Eastern and I hope to see you there. Get high and stay blessed.

Welcome back to Weed Witch 101! Today's we're covering the tools of weed magic part 2. In the last part we covered the grinder, rolling tray, rolling papers, rolling machine, and lighters. Today we'll be covering vape pens, bongs, edibles, pre-rolls, and dabs. With that being said let's jump into the post.
Vape Pens
Vape pens are a tool used to vaporize distillate cartridges. This is a common tool in my arsenal that I use all the time. In weed magic I consider vape pens to represent the element of air. It's great for taking hits for spells on the go.
Bongs
Bongs are a tool used to smoke flower and pull the smoke through water to clean it. This is my absolute favorite and most effective tool in my arsenal. In weed magic I consider bongs to represent the main 4 elements of fire represented by the flame, earth represented by the flower you're smoking, air represented by the smoke we inhale, and water as the water the smoke passes through. This is great tool to use in combination with elemental magic.
Edibles
Edibles are, as the name implies, a food that is infused with cannabis that one consumes to get high. It takes the longest out of all methods to kick in and at least in my opinion leaves you with a nasty aftertaste. Edibles are one of my least favorite tools out of the bunch. In weed magic I consider edibles to represent earth as they take things grown and transform it into a treat that will get you high. This method can be used for longer spells or rituals but requires preparation beforehand.
Pre-rolls
Pre-rolls are joints that are prefilled and rolled for convenience. These are another good option for traveling. In weed magic I consider joints and pre-rolls to represent fire as you light it and it constantly burns. I like to use joints and pre-rolls for banishing spells and any sort of spell where I want to get rid of something.
Dab Rigs
Dab rigs is one of the only tools I have never personally used before. To the best of my knowledge dab rigs are a tool similar to bongs that vaporizes concentrates and pulls the smoke through water. If I were to utilize dab rigs in weed magic, knowing how strong concentrates can be, I would use them for spells I want to draw in or have a strong effect.
That concludes the second part of Tools of Weed Magic. Get high and stay blessed. Check out the Weed Magic 101 Masterpost to be directed to the other posts in the series.
