Paramore was one of those bands that I only pretended to hate because idk every kid goes through that phase, but secretly, crushcrushcrush was like my background music to life. NOTHING COMPARES TOOOOO A QUIET EVENING ALONE

yeah i can def see that lol, i didn’t like them much as a kid cause the only song i knew was Decode off the twilight soundtrack and i thought it was boring, it was too like slow and like, “cold” i guess? back then i had to have Obvious Uncomplicated Emotion right on the surface of the melody or i just wasn’t able to focus on it lol. if i had heard basically anything from Riot! back then i would’ve changed my tune FAST lmfao those angry pop punk melodies...... im sad i didn’t have the opportunity to get into them earlier tbh i wouldve worshipped haley williams as a goddess

@weeddrug kfdhgdhjd this is probably exactly what happened but i like to hope that my confused and incredulous look was enough to make him go “what am i expecting out of this child” and feel at least a pinch of shame. it probably wasn’t but it’s a nice idea

The main danger is in overdrawing power. Basically, 6 pin connectors use up to 75W, while 8 pin connectors use up to 150W, and the extra 2 pins are a sensor to tell the thing 8 pins, and another ground. Basically, if your psu can handle the extra 75W (and youre going from 6pins on the cable to 8 pins on the card), you might be fine. If your psu cant handle the extra load, or youre going from 8 on the PSU to 6 on the card (which I don't think you are) though, then...dont

the psu i have now is i think 700+ w so i dont think i should be worried about that, i have a 20+4 pin for the motherboard and an 8pin for the cpu, one sata, and like 3 fans; so i dont think overdrawing would be a problem, but would the gpu (with an 8 pin socket) be powered properly with a 6 pin (from the psu) cable, is what im asking

i’m pretty sure that the card wouldnt like, explode or anything, but i cant imagine that depriving it of half of the wattage is like... great for it either
