Nikto: specifically the tiger shark (solitary and nocturnal) AND its only predator, the killer whale

For Krueger and Nikto. What kind of role do u think self-pity plays in their lives and their relationships. Do u think they feel any dissonance about anything? Do u think they're aware of how fucked up they are?

Ohh that's a very good question. For Krueger, in my headcanon of him he's a very, very self-aware person and he's 100% aware that he has his own mental compass (and not moral lol). He doesn't feel bad nor any dissonance about it, because he finds satisfaction in everything he does :). He will get one very violent nightmare once in a while but it's very isolated.

(cw for unhealthy relationships) For Nikto however... I imagine him to have sort of a martyr complex (complacency and fight altogether). He does sometimes feel a dissonance about his relationship with Krueger, because it's unequivocally codependent and he needs him both as an outlet (for violence) and as sort of a pillar in his life. because he's comfort, too. Like it just fits too well together. Nikto also knows the extent of krueger's psychopatic traits (*that's just my hc) and that Krueger is basically a loaded gun sharing his life, who could probably entirely cannibalise him mentally if he wanted, but somehow... it never happens. Sometimes, the thought keeps Nikto up at night. He gets extremely violent, paranoid nightmares about it too, the kind where he wakes up in a cold sweat and looks at krueger barely awake against him and wonder if he should kill him before krueger does. (but then he falls back asleep because Krueger is warm against him. so it can wait.)

This is why he's guarded/avoidant/self-sabotages towards affection in general too, and especially why he can't stomach having a normal relationship with Rodion (this post by @modernghostfare summarises it well).

Any thoughts/headcanons about Alejandro? What was his life before the military and what made him enlist? Do you think he has any noteworthy quirks in his daily routine?

Omg I love Alejandro. absolutely a mwii highlight, this guy. Here are some Alejandro headcanons I could think of:

His qualities at work aren't necessarily his qualities off work. There's a dichotomy between who he is as a colonel, and who he is as a man and it's something he can't manage to nullify

Brazen, but not impulsive. Him saving Rudy is a good example.

Emotionally he's honest, but blunt. Like he can't exactly pinpoint what he's feeling most of the times especially in interpersonal relationships (whether it is with his family or his few close friends), but always tries to communicate about it

Corollary: it's hard to have a sudden disagreement with him. It either works or it doesn't, because he's not a guy who will beat about the bush and if he doesn't like someone they'll know immediately

Genuinely he's a good person to be around. Really funny, capable of putting anyone at ease, and he's got very strong morals

Alejandro tries to avoid drinking too much because if he's drunk drunk he's an angry drunk. He will start arguments. and yell. a lot. Rudy has to manage him sometimes.

Absolutely had something going on with Valeria at one point.

Daily routine quirk: he likes washing the dishes. he thinks dishwashers suck and damage the dishes. he WILL wash everything by hand AND listen to a specific playlist during it. It's been the same playlist for 5 years now.

Social smoker. He used to smoke a lot more in his youth, but stopped to preserve his lungs.

Laswell. What is she like in ur headcanon. Do you think she gets any time off. What possessed her to land in this fucked up job??

I feel like she's the kind of person to not be able to disconnect from work (and Nikolai AND Price chastise her for it, but Price is exactly like her LMAO). Though given her position, it's understandable.

Laswell's bio is actually quite detailed and fits her in-game personality imo. She really seems to be exceptionally smart (both "scientifically" and emotionally, I think she figures people out very quickly). I think she doesn't particularly like being a leader, but I think she dislikes not being in charge. Like, to me, there's a nuance here that would suit her character. One of her greatest qualities is that she's able to prioritise extremely well, when some others can get sidetracked. She's very secretive about her sources also. You'll spend months trying to pin down someone and she'll be like "oh? if you want I have the number of their GP and their cook"

Just wanted to tell you that since I stumbled upon your stuff (read: slid down a muddy hill face first) I have been enjoying your art and your HCs immensely. I love the wholesome and stuff and all. It's like a pick-me-up on a bad day. I hope I get as good at sketching as you one day but all my wips suck ass right now
