you can dance and jive as we boogie our way over to our THIRD ANNUAL MUSICALS WEEK !! HOWEVER THIS MUSICALS WEEK WAS FILLED WITH DRAMA, TEARS AND THE FALLING APART OF THE JUDGING TABLE...
BUT BEFORE WE GET INTO THAT its always a good time for MAMMA MIA as the teams performed the title track of the musical for this weeks opening number, bringing in the good times and celebrations as we move into an eventual elimination once more.
PROVING THEMSELVES ONCE MORE AS FRONT RUNNERS, the team of MELODY & BASHER stepped straight onto the dancefloor with a powerful JAZZ number to ‘ALL YOU WANNA DO’ from the internets favourite musical, SIX. falling slightly on their feet they only managed a solid TWENTY THREE OUT OF THIRTY for their number.
BRINGING IN THE TALES OF TOXIC LOVE the unsure team of JESSE & HARPER glided their way through the dance floor in a PHANTOM tale with ‘ALL I ASK OF YOU’ from the PHANTOM OF THE OPERA giving them a solid TWENTY TWO OUT OF THIRTY for the pair.
FROM PHANTOMS TO PREDATORS the next team of KIARA & JESSICA have quite a lot riding on them as competitors as they brought the TANGO to the dance floor with ‘APEX PREDATOR’ from MEAN GIRLS. raising the stakes for a TWENTY TWO OUT OF THIRTY for the pair once again tieing with JESSE & HARPER.
IT SEEMS TO BE TANGO GALORE as the team of LOGAN & MADELINE bring the energy of a TANGO back onto the dancefloor with ‘GREEN GREEN DRESS’ from TICK, TICK, BOOM! giving them a score of TWENTY THREE OUT OF THIRTY making them tie with MELODY & BASHER.
A SHOW STOPPING NUMBER MIGHT BRING THIS COMPETITION TO A STANDSTILL as the team of KENDRA & TRACI with a classic CHARLESTON to ‘HONEY HOT RAG/NOWADAYS’ from CHICAGO. however, once again, one judge wasn’t too keen on the idea of showing off...
however the judging their scores didn’t reflect too kindly on them either as they scored a sensible SIXTEEN OUT OF THIRTY making them the bottom pair thus far.
CALMING DOWN AFTER AN EXPLOSIVE NUMBER it was up to the team of FRANKIE & BENTLEY to bring us to a magical place as they performed a CONTEMPORARY number to ‘A WHOLE NEW WORLD’ from ALADDIN. giving them yet another tied score of TWENTY TWO OUT OF THIRTY.
HOPING TO END THE NIGHT WITH A BANG is the team of fan favourites with CALEB & SAM performing a firey PASO DOBLE performance of ‘WHAT YOU OWN’ from RENT giving them an outstanding tie performance with a score of TWENTY THREE OUT OF THIRTY giving us our FIRST THREE WAY TIE of any season.
BUT WITH EVERY BEGINNING THERE IS AN END... OR SO WE THINK...
as this weeks judging took a sour note with both HARPER & JESSE as well as KENDRA & TRACI up for elimination. it didn’t come without some tension as they were both announced as SAFE for the week but with additional commentary from the judges...
