So I tried posting the other day but for some reason, my phone kept having spasms every time I went on here and actually tried to write a post. Not sure why.
Anywho, the slow trudge of the dissertation continues. The fun part of my day is writing out my schedule for the day (which I rarely stick to) and decorating it with stickers.
I’m studying at home at the moment because of COVID - which makes it a hell of a lot harder, let me tell you. I’m not much of a social person, so I didn’t think it would bother me that much. But I really need the routine of going to class and all that, and not having it has really damaged my motivation and self-discipline (- as in, without it, I have none.)
Because I’m actually doing two subjects - English Literature and Japanese Studies - I’ve split my days. Since I only actually have my dissertation module at the moment, that is the most pressing so I do dissertation stuff on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays I study Japanese.
Weekends are usually chill although I do sometimes continue stuff if I have the energy - this Sunday just passed, I was revising Japanese grammar, which is by far the worst part of studying Japanese!
What else can I tell you as a studyblr?
I start my weekdays the same way every day - my mum wakes me up with a cup of coffee about half 5ish. I go for a rollie (that’s a rolled cigarette for those who don’t know) and then sit in her studio with her while I write my schedule and play with my stickers.
After she goes to work, I might browse pinterest for a while, and then I usually go back to bed, because who the hell gets up at half five in the morning unless they absolutely have to? (answer: crazy people)
Then when I wake up I do whatever it is I’m supposed to do that day. Then in the evenings I relax, usually while watching something. At the moment it’s Gilmore Girls. I have lost track of how many times I have watched that show all the way through. I like it because of the witty conversations, the fact that Rory is ultimate studyspo. I appreciate a show where someone who loves to read and study isn’t treated like a complete loser.
Plus, the Gilmore Girls understand coffee.
