Week 10 (16th Feb 2016) Finished video!
The sound I used in video... free of copyright samples of sound that I found on various websites.
For the exhibition in the Link Gallery next week I would like to use a mini dark space / darkroom or similiar. I am thinking of projecting the video onto the mirrors or glass, but depending what space there will be available I might use a screen and set of headphones.
Final Cut Pro X workshop/induction
Week 7 (27th Jan 2016) FCPX workshop/induction
On 27th I went to one of the Open Access workshops. It was an induction to FCPX. I wanted to learn more about video editing etc as my only experience with editing were basic skills in Adobe Premiere Pro. Even after the workshop I think that in Final Cut Pro i don’t have as much control over things as I do when I work in Premiere. Although, the main features I want to use (mainly layering and experimenting with blending modes etc.) are simplified so I think I’ll be working in FCPX and If I have any more advanced effects to create I’d use Premiere and After Effects. This workshop cleared up some things for me and I think it was really useful from both, technical and practical side. I booked another workshop on working with this software which will be FCPX Advanced session on 24th Feb 2016.
