This was such an exciting weekend!! Thanks to @chapstck #weekendoften #tenminuteplay festival Aug 17th-19th my work was onstage without me! My piece was well received! All the pieces were! The event was packed! We even had to turn folk away...I was on a serious high! The very next day (Monday) I got that first call and rushed to her side..well a friend had to drive me because I was in shock...A few mornings later I got THAT call...I woke up the next day and my first words were, "My Mama is gone." It was surreal as hell. Now that time has passed I see that her timing was deliberate. She wanted to free me to write and perform and fully LIVE my life!!
