March 2025 Completed Cross Stitch Project

Here's a cross stich I completed the other night.

Here is a new pattern I made that I could put on my mask. I Had fun stitching it and finishing it different ways. The mask is stitched on Peoria Purple linen from Weeks Dye Works and the necklace and tin are stitched on Peaceful Purple linen from Wichelt.

This pattern is available on Frony Ritter Designs store on Etsy. I got the frame at an antique store. I stitched it on Carrot linen from Weeks Dye Works.

I stitched this new pattern several different ways. First I stitched it and put it on a lunchbox I spray painted white. Next I stitched it again on Peaceful Purple 28 ct Jobelan and put it on a tiny fence I painted white. Then I stitched the very middle and made it into an egg on 32 count Weeks Dye Works Peaceful purple linen.

Here is a shoutout to my inspiration for this design. Texans Ronnie and Becky and friends from the Moonshine Ranch taught me some important and wonderful things about being a Texan. Among them were the proper use of the word “y’all”.

I also learned skills like watching for rattlers, enjoying barbecue and my favorite, spontaneously yelling, “the stars at night are big and bright.” So I could hear all the Texans present clap three times and finish with, “deep in the heart of Texas.” But the closest I could ever get to roping was gluing the rope around this design.

The pattern for this design is in the 2019 Special Halloween Issue of Just Cross Stitch. I used 32 count Peoria Purple Linen from Weeks Dye Works and embellished with a cowboy boot button from Just Another Button Company.
