Hey this is your Fives writer (maybe at some point another clone writer) and if I'm overstepping feel free to tell me to bug off. Like you, I also need a nightlight and after some really bad stuff that's happened to me lately, I totally use my comfort characters to bring me literal comfort. So you're not alone in that!
Fives holds you close with it's pitch black. He kisses you. He utters every comforting word in your ear while he simultaneously reaches into his overnight bag to grab a little torch/flashlight. It's quite bright on its own, but he places it light side down so that it gives off a soft glow. He'll leave it on all night for you, but that doesn't mean he's letting you go.
"I gotcha, my perfect mesh'la." He kisses your forehead and the crown of your head. He asks if you want him to go find a replacement lightbulb for the night or just stay with him and use the little light he's brought. He's not going to walk away, even for the briefest moment, if that's going to upset you or make you feel unsafe. Fives is all about making you feel safe and loved.
And if you ever need to spend the night at his? He's got a nightlight ready for you plus four backups laying on the floor next to it so he can quickly replace one with another if needed.
Oh my god I forgot to answer this. Listen you aren't overstepping at all, these messages make me smile so so so much, it's so genuinely comforting and validating and I keep rereading them over and over again,
