he's shocked! shocked, i tell you! the hand gently cradling his face had him leaning into it, but then ri leaned in and his eyes went wide. he didn't pull out of reach, though, and when lips parted, he still stood there like a deer in the headlights, ears folded back airplane style and pupils a bit more rounded than usual.

Kon walked up behind it, not really sneaking but walking in the quiet way he had without his shoes, and leaned against its back in the space between its wings. A soft purr came from him as he tucked his face into the dark feathers. Settling comfortably against it for as long as it let him.

Narrator: you're on a p- wait a minute. where are we?

Voice of the Hero: you're back, and you're looking for him again. there's only one reason to even be here, and it's not long before you hear his steps, soft and - is he trying to sneak up on you? you stay put, allowing him to "surprise" you, and you purr right back as you feel him make contact and snuggle right up to your back.

where had he gotten it from? what a stupid silly question. somewhere, obviously - and the nonchalance the demon displayed only further proved his lack of understanding why the man would even bother asking. "...Do you want it or not? It's still warm, but it won't be for long -"

( choso is...... the epitome of gentle, especially when it comes to humans or those who are younger than him (visibly. doesn't matter if you're 700 years older than him, his own sense of Visible age/Actual age is skewed, the man's over 150 years old.)

why? maybe, deep down, he's lowkey worried he might hurt someone. he's half curse, after all, and his father was a monster of a man. maybe somewhere in there, there's the nagging worry that his curse side will hurt others - physically, mentally, emotionally. the possibility is always there as with any being, but a curse is, well, a curse. it is made to harm and hinder.

maybe it's because he lived so long with nothing and no one but 8 younger siblings, scared and all alone except for each other. maybe he was scared, too, but he was the eldest. he had to be brave and kind and oh so gentle with his little siblings. even when he gained a human form, he thought of the remaining six who could not walk among the living with him. even then, he was brave and caring for them, because they would know if he faltered. he could not falter, for them.

maybe he is gentle to make up for the violence that comes from being a sorcerer. ..technically. or to make up for the violence he committed in shibuya that fateful night.. maybe it's to connect better with his half-brother, the human he almost killed out of revenge.

maybe that's just what happens when you create a powerful curse with a human nature. after all, if the curse is the worst of humanity, why couldn't his human behaviours then be the best humanity has to offer? )
