A moment from @mypathfest that I will always remember... The day I was finally brave enough for open mic. My husband was supossed to be with me and we were going to perform together, but he couldn't be there and I was way too nervous to sing alone. But then this voice from deep within said "yes you can" and I just went for it. The theme of the festival was "my path to empowerment" and I was feeling powerFULL from such an amazing day. I found the courage from within to walk across the fire and ask a women holding a guitar if she could strum a rhythm for me, another woman joined us on the ukulele, and magic was manifested ✨✨✨ I sang from my heart space, unplanned, organic, in the moment. An expression of how I was feeling, full of life and love and power. I felt FREE and beautiful and expansive. Truly one of the happiest moments of my life. 😂 There will be another MyPath festival this September and I will be offering my gifts. More to be announced soon! 🌈 I am just so honored to be a part of this movement of liberation and community. The future is NOW, manifest your happiness! Manifest peace for all. Each of us are capable of our dreams and desires. Listen to your heart, listen to the voice within that is calling you. May you find your bliss! #wehealtogether #mypath (at Terrapin Hill Farm) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1ByHfnpK2L/?igshid=xynyt5tab86o
Have you stepped into our sacred space? My studio has become many things to me through the past 7 months... A space for personal development, a space to co-create, a space for transformation... But my favorite part of Sacred has been the friendships & collective healing that I have witnessed and been blessed to be a part of. I love moving, breathing, learning, and growing with a room full of like-minded humans who are seeking ✨ In my small town here in Bowling Green, there are not a lot of safe & sober spaces that encourage consciousness and true human connection. Sacred is an expansion of safe space. My vision is to create a community for ALL people to share, heal, and THRIVE 🌈 With a community like Sacred (and yoga in general) I feel safe and supported so that I can lead a life of sobriety & spirituality outside of 12 step programs and religious dogmas. I have a safe space to explore my spiritualty, a safe space to express myself and be AUTHENTICALLY me. To ask questions & seek answers. Sacred is a space of non-judgement. A space that celebrates diversity and uniqueness. All beliefs, cultures, and abilities are welcomed here. Yoga is a collective space for healing and seeking. For exploring who we are and questioning why we are here. I love pondering the depths of our cosmic multi-verse and engaging in meaningful connections with my community. Sacred is a true manifestation of collective consciousness because of ALL OF US, and I am honored to share this space in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We have to plant seeds EVERYWHERE, no matter how big or small. No effort along the path is wasted and my time here has been a great adventure. I look forward to conmecting with more beautiful humans! 🌞🙏 Visit us at @sacredyogahealingarts where #wehealtogether 💕 (at Bowling Green, Kentucky) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0RBDecpiAZ/?igshid=1oaa6bbe24plu
When I first started practicing yoga I clung to the dicipline. I wanted specific directions and guidelines. I needed structure. I was crawling out of my own skin on a dily basis and I needed a foundation to land on. My life depended on it. But soon enough that "structure" became a game of perfection. Obessesion over how perfectly I could fit into this shape or that. I began to define my worth by what my practice (and my body) looked like - rather than what it felt like. And that was NOT serving me OR the world. So today I say "F the boxes!! LET ME OUT!!" These days I hardly ever focus on the expected alignment of the pose but rather I ask myself --> what feels good? I love adding organic movements and unique variations to traditional asanas. My body has become my sanctuary for creativity and exploration. I love playing with new transitions and modifcations. I love adding props, advancing postures, and feeling expansive in my practice. In my classes I encourage playfulness & creativity. I believe our yoga mat is a safe space to become embodied & empowered to make choices and build confidence. We do not have to fit into other peoples expectations, shapes, or boxes. We carve our own path. We make up our own rules (and break them whever the F we want!) I love seeing yoga (as a collective) move more into a place of freedom & expression. Less rigid, more fluid. How can you make your yoga practice meet YOU where YOU are? Give yourself permission to play and explore on your mat. Trust your intuition & go with the (( f l o w )) Find your bliss darlings. #wehealtogether #bliss #bodytalk #selflove (at Mother Earth) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzYwxcyJXAQ/?igshid=lo8v1f6qvciv
