Continuation of exchange of letters thread with @cptn13 here:
The letter is delivered promptly for Kiyone to soon hustle to the Captain with another letter by the next morning. Which has a small house key attached to a keychain of a white kitten with green eyes. The letter faintly scented of lavender to have a sprig of the flower in the envelope. Kiyone soon bowing to Captain Ukitake to then hustle off to her work.
The letter looks to be in a more eligible kanji than before. A photograph also with the letter to show Adelha sitting beside Maki Ichinose. Who looks as stoic as ever as the two wave at the camera. The letter reading thus:
“Greetings to you this fine morning, Captain Ukitake. Adelha was more than happy to receive your letter last night. Sadly, she has recently injured her writing hand. So I took the liberty of writing for her instead. She should heal just fine in a day or three. If she ever has the time to rest. Given the multiple kittens and cat she tends to with that elderly couple down the road. On top of the dozen young Bounts, five puppies, a kitten, and a pink robin she must oversee in her own home. Thankfully, the young ones are quite responsible and help out in equal measure. Even if dinner here feels like herding a small battalion at times.
The key on the cat keychain is for the Hatori estate that you have previously visited with the eight kittens and their mother. Where Adelha and myself seem to spend most of our time lately. The elderly couple that live there are aware that ‘fairy folk’ tend to follow Adelha around and come to visit. So they will not mind if yet another spirit comes to visit their garden. Especially if it is to play with the kittens and keep them from chewing on sandals.
I have never had a need to view you as anything other than an honorable man. This opinion has not changed over the years. So I am able to extend my trust that Adelha is safe in your presence. We will be happy to have you as our guest for dinner in the Living World. Since Bounts are still unable to enter through the Senkaimon as of yet. However, I do know for a fact there is an exceptional hibachi restaurant close to the dog park that allows pets. If you so wish to take Adelha there with Wesson and Aqua, then that is acceptable. As long as you get Adehla and the pets back home by eight. With great respect, Maki Ichinose.”
