Potion: The head of whatever snake you wish to receive powers from, the tail feather of a phoenix, flour, duck egg whites, human ashes. Cover the head and feather in the egg whites completely, then cover in flour, then freeze them for seven hours. Add human ashes to a pot of water, stir. Add two tablespoons of raven blood. Set over heat until boiling. Slowly add the head and tail feather into the pot and stir carefully. When the head and feather are completely dissolved, add three and a half teaspoons nutmeg. Stir until the mixture is bright orange.

Effect: The drinker of the potion will receive some various characteristics of whatever snake was used in the potion. The ability to shed skin, unhinge the jaw, smell out of a forked tongue, etc. Depending on how old the ashes were, the characteristics received may be much more severe, including losing one’s limbs, or simply turning into a snake.
