(Psy Saturday) Wow, it's crazy to believe it's been a week since Beyond Wonderland 2017. For today's track, the uk psytrance record label, Nano Records, comes around again! I have obviously listened to Avalon a lot more than any of the other Nano artists so I don't know much about Laughing Buddha and there's still much to explore; Volcano is on Sacred Technology record label, another full-on label with very talented artists.
After briefly listening to the original "Weird Effects," this remix updates some of the more dated sounding synths that were made back in 2014. I had a hard time picking out my favorite section or a section that stood out the most because I think the emphasis of the track was on the atmosphere and psychedelic soundscape, the "weird effects," rather than having a catchy melody. Because of this, this song does well listening from beginning to end - to get lost in the music.
"Weird Effects Remix" achieves its goal of having the weird psychedelic effects become the main attraction of the tune. If played in a festival, this track will melt brains.
