🌸 Welcome Spring 🌸
Pujaut, France (30)
today’s weather is so nice and warm, it’s making me incredibly sleepy. I want to lay down on the sand and take a good nap. sadly I’m stuck in uni working on my exam project.
have this pretty pic I took earlier this morning.
Hello sun ☀️
Spring Equinox
So I had grand plans of a big ritual this year and even thought about boiling and dyeing eggs. Then today rolled around and I just didn’t feel it, it was very sunny out but also very chilly and it definitely felt like a goof off day.
Even though I didn’t do a big ritual today was very spiritually fulfilling. I took a nice long relaxing shower, made soda pop cupcakes from a chocolate cake mix and cherry coke (combine cake mix with 1 and 1/2 cups of pop, mix thoroughly, bake as usual), collected snow from one of the few remaining snowbanks (the cleanest I could find) to melt for cleansing/blessing the house, and had a nice girls’ day with one of my close friends.
It all just seemed like a good way to welcome back the spring, getting out and about, soaking up the sun, and enjoying some nice cupcakes with a friend. Sometimes its easy to forget that the little things are just as important as the big things and holidays (and spells) don’t always have to be some big affair. I had a wonderful Spring Equinox and I hope everyone else did too :)
A note on the snow I collected: Every year I collect the cleanest snow I can find and sit it in a sunny spot until it melts. This “spring water” has a wonderful revitalizing energy to it and is a good way to help drive out the stuffiness and negativity that can accumulate during the winter. You could use it as part of your spring cleaning routine or as part of a house cleansing ritual but I just sprinkle a bit in all the doorways, window sills, and important/very active parts of the house. I also anoint myself, my dog, my statutes at my shrines, and use a bit to water my house plants. It’s the one thing I do consistently every year at the Spring Equinox.
So nice to sleep with the windows open again.
