I would do my best! It usually ends up kind of [krauser voice] sloppy, when I paint my own at least.
Best nail polish experience, in my opinion, is putting a flat color as a base coat and then doing some kind of glitter coat on top. I love it. If you do black with some kind of silver/pearlescent glitter, it looks like stars.
