今日は留学センター主催の留学生歓迎パーティーに参加させていただきました。僕たちWICはもう一つの国際交流サークル「虹の会」と協力して会場の進行やビンゴ大会などをさせていただきました。ビンゴでは早稲田グッズが景品としてもらえるということで、数字が読み上げられるごとに毎回色々なところから歓声が上がっていました。また、歓迎のパフォーマンスもさせていただきました。日本と言えばアイドルですよね？というわけで「ヘビーローテーション」を１年生が踊ってくれました。登場とともに会場は大騒ぎ。なぜなら踊っているのは女子高生の制服を着た男だったからです。それでもみんな「かわいい～」と言いながら楽しんでくれました。パフォーマンス終了後は写真を一緒に撮りたいと留学生の長蛇の列ができていました。まるで本物のアイドルみたいでした。こうしてパーティーは大盛況で終わりました。留学生の日本での素敵な思い出の一つになれたらうれしいです。

Today, we participated the welcome party for exchange students which is held by exchange center. We proceeded with the party and held a BINGO competition with another international club “niji-no-kai”. Because people can get Waseda goods as a prize, we can hear shouts of joy from everywhere when a number is called. Moreover, we did welcome performance. Speaking of Japan, “Idols” come into your mind, don’t you? So, freshmen danced on “Heavy rotation”. When dancers appear, some people screamed. This is because dancers were boys dressing high school girl’s uniform. However, people said “they are cute”, and enjoyed the performance. After the performance, there was a long line to take pictures with the boys. They were genuine idols. Then, the party was a huge success. I’m so happy this party became one of exchange students’ the great memories.
