Thank you to @sequoyah_welding for hosting our 10th annual @americanweldingsociety #Chattanooga Section welding competition for secondary and post secondary welding programs in the #tristate area. High school students competed with a 3G plate test, college students competed with a 4G plate test and there was a 6G test open to both sectors. In spite of today’s weather, 50 students showed up to participate with their instructors, parents and friends. We handed out over 15 welding certifications, $3000.00 in scholarships, $700 cash to the top three in each category and thousands of dollars in prizes, including a brand new @lincolnelectric welding machine.
