Apparently, Emily Wilson (who inspired Nolan's film) says his movie was total crap.
What can i say, that’s funny enough as it is.
I didn't like her translation but imagine even she was taken aback by how bad the film was she doesn't even want to be associated with it because Nolan praised her translation as main use for his script. She made some bold claims I give her that and people need to see that this film is a billionaire Director not even trying but expect everyone to like his work with no questions asked
Learning also the paid reviews, tickets studios paid for to show people how amazing the film is actually rotten mentality. Studios crave money and are desperate when such a famous director didn't provide the immediate success and favoritism they expected of him. They try to fix the broken with no glue, they point fingers how common people are ungrateful for not liking a film when the amount of faults it has is astonishing huge it needs a whole PowerPoint presentation at this point.
The film was a 3 hour boring film btw. No action, no meaning, it leaves with nothing to be remembered other than the constant comparison to the original poem and seeing how better it stands on its own than an Oscar winning director. Maybe, I believe, Nolan was always like this but his newest movie showed it full scale because of his arrogance and hubris
