btw none of this is necessarily a call to completely condemn the mcelroys. ppl are going to & already have brought up how theyve been donating to black charities but even that doesnt erase their racism. they may be financially supporting blm like they should be but that doesnt erase how horrible hamilton is for black folks & the harm that their complicity in it does. we can acknowledge the good theyve done while still being angry about their harmful silence

i think the thing for me is like.. i think we were all aware that things were Bad back in the day. i mean whether you looked at physical things like harry being sick on stage or niall's knee, or how we knew something majorly not right was going on in the fall of 2014.. we knew something was up. but just looking at where things are now and everything that's transpired, it really makes you wonder just how fucked up things were. not just 'modest sucks and they're closeting harry and louis'

@ anon. another reason why people hate s4!noora is that she was used as a device to show that the thin white girl with lipstick who is sO wOke will always be better than the muslim girl. constantly it was emphasized how beautiful and smart noora is and how she gets every guy (including yousef) and she was generally a tool to put sana down, which is gross. in he show itself (noora winning at everything) and outside of it (noora taking up most of the storyline).
