Why on earth is knitting socks for men so hard for me. My fiance has got skinny ankles, but a wide heel area so the amount of stitches to fit his ankle, doesn't actually stretch over his foot to put the sock on, any more stitches and it's too baggy around his ankle/leg.

Finished the first sock, and I kept measuring it on him as I went, only to finish the toe and him moan because its too tight on his toes. Why? Because I didn't take into account he has long weird man toes.

And now it's really killed my buzz for knitting the second sock.

I have never struggled to knit socks like this.
