There is just so much that I love about this picture. I love Kevin. I love Selah. I love their relationship. I love her free, playful, imaginative, spirit. I love Kevin’s enthusiasm for going along with it. I love her thought process, I love Kevin’s way of entertaining those thoughts. I think too often we let negative events/situations bogged us down. Lately when this has happened to me, I like to look at pictures/videos and point out every little detail that I love. They all seem so small, but they add up quickly and fill me up with more love than I could have imagined. Which is honestly ironic, since most of the negative things tend to feel so big, but really are the smallest of things. This life, man. Dating you looks a whole lot different after 12 years! No makeup/hair not washed since I don’t know when, and sharing our dinner with a toddler. Our “dates” may not look like dinner and a movie anymore, but we will use any little time together to consider it a date. The fun thing about buying an 80-year-old house, is the projects you know will have to happen eventually....tend to need to happen abruptly and not when you planned for them. Cut to a new fence, new retaining wall and stairs this past year. 🤪 We moved in two years ago yesterday, and I don’t think we have ever NOT had a project going on. Our big helper! Kevin was installing railing on our new steps leading up to the house, and Selah was allllll about helping, and later, she helped with grocery shopping.
