What kind of relationship do you think Anderson and Fred have? Do they only talk about opa business? (Or do they call each other on Christmas? :D) Does Anderson ever regret to recruit Fred? etc... I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

I think there’s a lot of grudging respect there on both sides - Fred can accomplish things that Dawes can’t, because he has more resources, a better (scarier) reputation, and is an Tumang (Earther). Dawes can accomplish things Fred can’t, because he has underworld ties, Beltalowda trust and contacts, and doesn’t need to follow nearly as many rules. They probably both use each other, to an extent.

I don’t know that they have a personal relationship at all. I can’t remember from the books if they ever even met? Maybe someone will remind me. I think Dawes probably DID try to recruit Fred at some point, and Fred is too independent and too smart to agree to that (much like Miller, but Fred is so much less reckless).

What I like about them: I really, really like that Jim (at least in the books) is SO in love with Naomi. Like, literally 90% of his inner monologues are about how badass and capable Naomi is and it’s just really great.

What I dislike about them: I don’t really think there’s anything ??? at least not that I can remember right now…

Favourite moment: definitely the “am I a good man?” moment from episode 9 (at least, I think it’s from that episode). I really liked that it showed a darker side f his character that we hadn’t really seen (at least not to that extent) before 

Least favourite moment: probably the sex scene he had with that one crew member in the first episode. Sex scenes like this one just generally make me feel pretty uncomfortable, so I’m glad it was just that one time.

A situation with this character that I want to see explored more: I really would like to see Jim and Naomi’s relationship explored more (I know that they aren’t together on the show, yet, but it’s most likely going to happen at some point if the keep following the plot of the books as closely as they did in season 1), and I’d also really like to see the show explore the problems that comes with Naomi and Holden being from two completely different worlds.An interesting AU for this character: 

A crossover: I’m currently playing around with some ideas for a crossover between The Expanse and Mass Effect (it wouldn’t be about Jim specifically, though), but I’m not sure I’ll ever write it >_>

OTP (or OT3+ etc…. just… favourite ship): I must say, after I’ve started reading the books, Jim/Naomi has really started growing on me - also (and this is a super platonic ship), I just really like the crew dynamic of everyone on the Roci and the fact that they’re pretty much family, despite being from very different places.

Other ships?: Jim + Coffee is one of my favorite crack ships on the show

BROTP: Jim/Alex and Amos

NOTP: If you had asked me this before I started reading the books, I would have said Jim/Naomi, because I feel that what makes their relationship great is the inner monologues that Jim has about Naomi in the books. Which is something you obviously can’t have on a tv-show, but now that I’ve read the books, the pairing has really grown on me. 

An assortment of headcanons!: Jim’s biggest regret when it comes to his relationship with Naomi is, that he’ll never be able to show her where he grew up or introduce her to his family

Hmm, interesting question! I think probably because Miller was poking around, and he didn’t want to get in trouble with her dad. He was happy enough to use her when it wasn’t dangerous to him, but when he learned that her father, with all his power and money, wanted her found, he knew that Jules-Pierre Mao would not be happy that Anderson helped Julie in her OPA rebellion.

Not that anything could have saved Julie by that point, but it’s extra poignant that Miller was maybe part of the reason she was so alone at the end.

Ah yes the fandom is soo tiny. But everyone who is still involved or new to it (like me) is soooo passionate <3 it's amazing. And thanks for acknowledging the effort! I didn't know how much time it takes to create gifs before I started ^^ but now I can't stop.

We are still a tiny babby fandom. And probably will be for at least another year!

I have looked into making gifs before and I just do not have the patience (or time), so I’m very grateful to those who do. To anyone who creates art or fic or music or whatever, also!
