Rose... Out of all of the AUs that you made, which one do you like writing the most- from any fandom that you're in?
Also, any AU concepts you enjoy yet you feel as though you could never do it justice in your writing? I ask the second question... because I do have such an AU.
Oooh, that's a hard one. I love so many of my aus and my favorites change often. I suppose right now, I'm really loving my Summon the Choir au for the DCA. But I also have my long time favorites I swear I'm going to post at some point. Like my Underlust focused Requiem, and the Poppy Playtime child reader Help Me, or my FNAF 2 au Dream Your Dream. Also Under His Eye, my Fnaf Mechanical Gods AU.
....See what I mean?
I suppose all of those would fall under the second question, it's why they're taking so long. I'm going to post them eventually, but I want to do them justice. But other than that, none that I can really think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there's some AUs that I thought of and then put down, simply because I didn't think I could write them properly. I think I feel more that way about my art honestly.
I try not to let that feeling get the best of me. But yeah, there's some art projects that I've put down because I just couldn't. I have some beautiful images in my head I'd like to get down some time, but I don't know if I ever will. :/
Also, little sneak peak of Summon the Choir down below for anyone interested. Because I can't help myself.
The bracelets are both a comfortable weight on your hands. You probably wouldn’t have even noticed them if you hadn’t noticed the light. Which is odd, considering you definitely haven’t worn something like these before.
These both look like they’d cost more than anything you could afford, and more than anything anyone you know could afford. It sets off an alarm in your mind that demands you get them off immediately.
Only as you flip your wrist looking for a clasp, you can’t find one. And the bands are too tight around your wrists to easily slip them off, which makes you question how they got on in the first place. It doesn’t quell the panic rising in your chest either as you pull and tug at the surprisingly sturdy things.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” The low, raspy tone startles you, even with the person speaking barely above a whisper. “You’re just going to hurt yourself, after all.”
You tense, looking around with wide eyes for whoever talked.
“Who… Who’s there?” You weakly demand, fingers clenching into fists in the blankets around you.
“I thought we had already gone over this.” The voice chuckles, you still desperately trying to locate whoever’s speaking. You can’t find anyone in the room, and there’s not many places to hide in the tiny hotel room.
Your eyes snap to movement in the corner of them, widening at the shifting of shadows. They twist and turn to form a lean figure on the wall, with a round head that’s nearly bent from the corner of the ceiling. Something dangles from it that whips lazily around like the tail of an eel or snake. Or maybe a cat. Long fingers stretch over the back of a chair, hooked and nearly needle like. The shadows part in two spots of the head, making two big red eyes.
You feel like prey caught in the gaze of a much larger predator.
“I suppose I can remind you. I am Moon,” the shadow says, hunching over until his head is tilted nearly upside down.
“What- Why- How-?” You sputter, kicking back against the wall away from the shadow thing across the room from you. He twists again, straightening before hunching again as if getting a new angle.
“So many questions, Little Star. One at a time,” he rasps, giggling a little.
“What is happening?” You whisper, mostly to yourself. You wonder if you’ve finally lost it.
“You have just woken up and now we are talking, silly Little Star,” the shadow responds. “I thought that would have been obvious.”
The shadow twists and moves, to another wall. Under the window and closer to you. You nearly fling yourself across the bed and off of it to both keep the meager distance between you and an eye on it. The shadow somehow looks displeased.
“What- What are you and why are you here?” You demand, still rather weak and pathetically. The shadow’s tail flicks again, agitation.
“Hmmmn. I believe we’ve been over this too,” the shadow grumbles, red eyes kept locked on you. He disappears though, the shadows melding back into the darkness of the room and making you yelp. Your eyes desperately dart around the room again, though there’s no sign of the shadow thing. “But since you need another reminder…”
You jump, but are kept from flinging yourself off the bed by a large hand wrapping around your right hand and waist. Claws wrap delicately around your hand and bring it up, showing off the pretty bracelet again. A chest presses against your back, words whispered right into your ear.
“I’m here because of this shiny new trinket,” the shadow rumbles, shaking your hand back and forth lightly.
“What?” It barely leaves your throat, nearly caught in the fright of having the thing pressed so close to you.
“They won’t come off, Little Star. We had explained this last night. They bind you to us, and us to you,” the shadow reminds, thumb brushing over the jewel of the full moon. “They’re contracts, to be specific.”
You take a very visible gulp, the shadow still caressing the bracelet on your right hand. He doesn’t touch the one on the left, and that reminds you he used plural.
“A-and this one?” You ask, lifting your left hand. The shadow hums into your ear, then disappears just as suddenly as he appeared. Which makes you fall flat onto the bed again, but he reappears right above you on the ceiling.
“My brother. He will return soon with something for you to eat,” the shadow answers. You shiver.
