Out and about today

Y’all, I went to the store today! And to put our shitty financial situation into perspective, we have no vehicle of our own right now. My step-father is borrowing one from his shitty boss and he works so much that we get shopping done like once a month and really struggle for that last week before each trip is made. 

There is no room in the car for 4 people because there are tools in the trunk so everything for a month’s worth of living has to be in the backseat, so I never get to go. It’s been months!

Finally, my step-father stayed home to fix the bathroom today, and mom asked if I wanted to join her at the store and I was elated!

Going to Walmart should never seem so exciting but we went. I got a fucking tea from Dunkin’ Donuts, with an awesome caramel/chocolate donut thing. And the Easter candy was ON SALE! And I got so much bread! French Garlic Bread, 2 different types of dinner rolls, and tiny little rolls that are adorable. It was magical.

I don’t like going outside in general, but every now and then I want to leave the house. While I may not want to go outside all the time, I would like to have the option of refusal. I didn’t get that option since early November. I felt trapped. And I have the smallest room in this unfinished mess of a house, so it’s a literal Rapunzel thing.
