           it takes a lot of self-control for her not to immediately rush to him and throw her arms over his shoulders the second he walks out of the locker room. the smile on her face is wide and it reaches all the way up to her eyes, and it’s easy to forget that she had to spend the last three hours in the midst of roaring, overzealous college kids as they all watched the game when he finally locks eyes with her. ❛ miss me? ❜ she grins as she watches surprise take over his features. 

          next thing she knows, strong arms are wrapped around her waist and her feet are lifted off the ground as he pulls her into a warm embrace – one that she’s all too eager to return. three whole months – it’s the longest she’s ever had to go without seeing him in person, and she can’t help but tighten her hold on him, revelling in the familiarity of being in his arms. everything about him feels like home. ❛ i’ll take that as a yes. ❜ she laughs. ❛ –you were incredible out there. ❜
