So, you want to stop using spotify...
I have gone searching and I have compiled what I think is a pretty good process for doing so! If you have any suggestions or ways to streamline this please let me know :)
tools you will need
computer
thing to put music onto (ideally an mp3 player, i can modify this if you have an ipod/other apple product tho) i just ordered a innioasis brand mp3 ipod dupe with 128gb of storage so that's cool. you can also just use your phone with the app Musicolet as an mp3 player
programs on your laptop: windows media legacy player and kabuu audio converter
websites you will be using tunemymusic.com (for converting spotify to youtube playlists) am4a.cc (for converting youtube playlists to mp3 files)
the ten step process
sign into tunemymusic and convert your spotify playlist into a youtube music playlist,
open base youtube and go to the playlist you just made,
(you create it in yt music specifically so it pulls the plain audio tracks instead of the music video tracks, but they're still accessible in base youtube and that's where you want to pull the share link from. if this doesn't work the way it's supposed to, you can edit it manually. also check and make sure everything is set to public so these sites can access them.)
go to am4a.cc and click on the "youtube to mp3" or "youtube to m4a" tab, doesn't matter which. toggle the playlist option to "yes" and then paste the link to your playlist and wait for it to convert all the videos. batch download all of them onto your computer into a dedicated folder you created beforehand,
open kabuu audio converter and select "add folder" then select the folder with all of your mp3 files,
change the format in the dropdown menu to .wav (we do this because mp3 files are terrible quality and wav is more compatible with stuff while also being higher quality),
convert all files. this will automatically save the .wav files to a separate folder, so open your file explorer and search "wav", then cut and paste that folder into your music folder. you can then batch delete all of the mp3 files you just converted so you don't have any duplicates,
all of your audio files should have auto-populated in the windows legacy player. from here you can (if you choose) edit any metadata such as the artist name, album title, album art, etc. directly in the player.
rise and repeat until all of your music is on your laptop (tbh i recommend compiling all of your music into one giant spotify playlist first so you don't have to do this a bunch of times)
create any playlists you would like in wlp
plug in your mp3 player of choice and sync according to the machine's instructions
ta da! i hope this helps at least a little bit. happy converting!
Not sleeping is very conducive to making cool shit
kinda hating how revenge usage of shinigami eyes on anyone who talks about trans men or intersex issues or wtv the new "hot topic" of trans discourse is making the extension functionally useless
Finally obtained a tail that fits me and my 'type perfectly

So I found a new digital wardrobe app that's actually good?
This would have killed on this site in 2014. These are all our own clothes that we own. The app is called Whering (link is to the Google play listing) and we're really enjoying it.
As of current there are no ads and there are some in app purchases, but as far as I can tell they are completely unnecessary for using the app to its fullest.
All I did was take photos of my clothes and it converted them to transparent images for me to mix and match. That's it. (The initial cataloguing can be tedious but I think it's worth it)
Additionally, the way I obtained the image you see is from sharing the board to my Google photos account then cropping out the app branding.
I like it a lot because it saves me time rushing to try on clothes then rush to the mirror to see if the colors really match, as well as a way to better visualize possible outfits I wouldn't have thought of before. It's also just fun to play with jpegs of my stuff.
Anyways, I recommend it! It's fun!
