The whole wolf!Daniel is bigger than wolf!Max thing is so funny to me because I can totally picture them curled up asleep while you’re out but Max clearly waited for Daniel to fall asleep first because he’s placed his head on top of Daniel’s to protect him

when you get home, you take a picture first because how cute, but then you go to scratch Danny’s ears to let him know you’re there and Max senses the movement in his sleep and gives you a little growl, to which you say “okay, be like that, Mr. Grumpypants” and pull away

Danny then whines because he was enjoying that, actually and goes to get up to follow you and Max practically goes flying across the room

no but something about max being the smaller wolf but being the more protective one is making me so😭😭😭😭😭

like he always lays on top of daniel, not because of a size thing because he doesn’t care if the boy squishes him. but because he knows his senses are better and he’s more likely to wake up at a threat than daniel would

also just the thought of danny being so big that he's just full on sheep herding max and reader. like reader is making lunch or something and danny is just pressing his way between her and the counter in the way dogs do when they're trying to beg for food. and then the moment that she's done putting together her little sandwhich or whatever he's coralling her to the couch for some cuddles.

and it's not even just in wolf from. human danny is crowding up against max and reader just being a full on menace. and like he's hooking an arm around both of their waists, he's pulling them in by the belt loops, and guiding them to bed with a heavy hand on the small of their back

the man uses his size to his advantage😭also just that casual strength of gripping onto the edge of your hoodie and all but dragging you towards the kitchen when you haven’t eaten proper meals all day or when max has been on the sim for hours

he’s just a caring guy who lowkey loves manhandling his loves😌

idk why but I just had this idea of werewolf maxiel cuddling with you and sleeping on the bed in wolf form and you forget a maintenance guy is coming over so you stumble out of bed in pjs and answer the door. he’s flirting with you as you show him the issue and you’re trying to awkwardly point out all the photos of you and your partners but he’s not getting the hint.

and then these two massive dogs come trotting out of the bedroom and starting nosing at your legs.

“are those your dogs?”

“my boyfriend’s dogs, yeah.”

“…are you sure they aren’t wolves” as max is just sitting there glaring at him while you pet his head and Daniel is resting his snout on your hip with a shit eating grin

them being such little shits in their wolf forms most of the time and maybe they are napping in said forms when the maintenance guy shows up. and he isn't getting the hint you have not one but two boyfriends, like all the photos just seem like friends hanging out to him

and the difference between them? max is just standing protectively at your side and lowkey growling whenever the guy comes near. but daniel? oh he is fucking with the dude as best he can because he would be damned if he makes this man's trip easy after he's been eyeing his girl😭

ugh protective werewolf max has my heart bc the mental image of him curled up into a ball but waiting for Daniel to fall asleep first is adorable

BUT lemme tap into my wolf knowledge here…it’s the neck that mated wolves protect, not the head. Smaller wolves (typically the female mate) will place her head under the bigger wolf’s chin to protect them from a bite to the throat.

So you come home to find max buried under dark fluffy curly fur as Daniel snores lightly (listen, my dog snores and I think it’s hilarious) as two blue eyes peer up at you and max can finally relax because both his mates are nearby and you can help protect Daniel in this vulnerable state

the image of wee max cuddled underneath his throat, glaring at everyone is so sgshsvshbssjbs😭😭😭😭but the boy genuinely doesn’t feel at ease until you’re both near him. he feels angsty and on edge otherwise

Honestly Maxiel Are the kind of boyfriends that would keep their lycanthropy a secret from you not because they think werewolves existing would freak you out but because they know you’re scared of dogs and afraid you won’t love them anymore

just had the thought of maxiel werewolves where you get max a little vest that says “not friendly, do not pet” and Daniel a vest that says “VERY friendly, please pet”

max has a social mood maybe once in a blue moon and he’s ten times worse than daniel😭this man is on some dog version of catnip going absolutely crazy and it’s hilarious to watch him literally run around in circles

OK BUT reader having cat instincts and when they first start dating she gets the urge to groom them and Daniel is just chilling in front of the couch when this small cat climbs up the edge of the sofa and starts licking his hair

Max in wolf form sitting very still as you, Jimmy, and Sassy all focus on getting his fur to lay flat

PLEASE😭max would literally just be sitting there like, “are we seriously doing this again—” but he’s also just accepted his fate

also the idea that she has her wee cat preferences like preferring seafood opens so many funny possibilities of lando having to stop by to see if the reader is doing better when she’s sick and the boys are in the factory

and lando literally calls them crying because she keeps whining about wanting sardines and he’s like, “I’m gonna launch the can at her head if she doesn’t stop—”
