Werewolf Shane AU, beloved

Some werewolf Shane head canons because I said so.

Boy is an absolute unit

He’s just under his human height when sitting

If he stands up on his hind legs he a little over 7 feet tall

He’s basically a maned wolf with the leg proportions

Fur is the same soft brown color as his hair

It always looks scruffy no matter how much it’s brushed

It’s exceptionally thick and soft

Very large teeth.

The fangs are 3 inches

BIG fluffy tail

He broke it from wagging it too hard once

Can run fast enough to keep up with a car

Looks very scary but he’s basically a giant stuffed animal

Acts like an actual puppy

LOVES meeting new people

Especially children

They’re not afraid of him because they just see him as a big doggy

He can spend hours just running around and rolling in the dirt and mud

Loves being cuddled

One night Ryan took a nap while looking after him and woke up to all the food in his house eaten

Ryan and Sara took him out to a forest so he could run around and hunt

He came back to the car 3 hours later with a dead mountain lion as a “present“

Imagine that Shane, who is a werewolf, is going through a nesting thing with Ryan. They’ve been together for awhile and at first Ryan isn’t sure wtf is going on and Shane doesn’t even realize he’s doing anything that could be construed as weird, and then later when they realize it Shane is just. Kind of shy and embarrassed about it, but it’s instinct and he can’t completely help it. Ryan thinks it’s cute once he finally has an answer as to what’s happening. Which honestly doesn’t help Shane feel less embarrassed when Ryan says that to him. :p

Werewolf Shane being super territorial about Ryan around friends/coworkers/other werewolves? Cuz possessive Shane is a Mood

Possessive Shane can choke me into next week

It’s in his wolfish nature to be territorial, Shane had once explained to Ryan. The smaller man had shrugged and nodded in understanding, but holy fuck Shane was not joking. It starts around Ryan’s friends. He’ll be joking around or play fighting with them when Shane will loom over Ryan, chest pressed to his back. The entire night Shane won’t leave his side, but Ryan still acts carefree because he knows it’s in Shane’s nature. He feels protected.

It moves onto the office, where Shane ensures that if Ryan doesn’t like someone, that person won’t so much as look at Ryan. He’ll ensure that he’s on the edge of his desk to be as close as possible to Ryan, to the point where he’s almost invading his area. If Ryan wants lunch, Shane will go with him. If Ryan wants coffee, Shane will go with him. He’s like this presence looming over Ryan but the smaller man learns how to work with it, using it to his advantage. He feels protected.

Ryan had never thought of the possibility of there being other werewolves until there’s one baring it’s teeth at him. He’d come to the forest to find Shane, but had instead found a hostile wolf. Just as the wolf is about to leap on Ryan and tear him to shreds, Shane appears beside Ryan and begins snapping his teeth and growling. Shane is clearly the bigger of the two wolfs, and his nature is deathly serious. The other wolf turns tail and flees, and Shane rubs about Ryan to mark his territory. He feels protected.
