emotions run extremely high for him, especially given his high empathy and desire for bonds to form. he loves to make friends but also hates it and how much energy it takes, usually opting for a very laid-back approach and minimal effort as to not overwhelm himself at any given moment.
when his emotions run too high, he has a very bad habit of shutting down completely, turning people away from him (and this is no exception for even those whom he loves.) his moods and thoughts can flip on a dime and he can go from being the most loyal son of a bitch you know, to hating your goddamn guts. if something rubs him the wrong way, he will easily let you know and likely leave you in the dust. he, is however, a hypocrite and if someone leaves him, he will be affected for what seems like sweeps- doubting every action and thought he’s ever had and very nearly letting it consume him. this is why he leaves others, before they leave him. the fear of rejection and eventual thought that he’ll end up alone again is his sole drive for trying to make things work and be the most amicable person he can be, even if he does come off badly 9 times out of 10.
there’s a lot of shit that i can’t exactly fit here without writing a goddamn novel, but this gives some insight at the very least, i hope!

OH ABSOLUTELY!! I HAVE COOKED AND BAKED FOR YEARS NOW - SINCE I WAS A CHILD, ACTUALLY. MY BROTHER WASN'T... OR WELL, HE STILL ISN'T THE BEST AT COOKING, AND ONE DAY I SORT OF GOT TIRED OF ALL THE STUFF WE ATE. BOXED MEALS, SCRAPS, LEFTOVERS, ETC... I FOUND A RECIPE BOOK FOR BASIC THINGS IN THE DUMP WHEN WE WERE EXPLORING, AND EVER SINCE, I'VE HAD DREAMS OF BEING A CHEF!!
