Shes silent, mouth agape for a few moments,  never in her life had she seen such blatant murder by people other than military. Honestly  it came to a shock to the teen, and for almost  a minute she couldn’t find her words. Only  uttering a soft whine of shock before her mind finally started working again. 

“U-Uh yeah sure.”

              “I ain’t goin’ soft. I jus... I ain’t got a good feelin’ bout this, Tess. Somethin’ ain’t right.” When she places a hand on his wrist, eyes glance down and it makes him sigh slightly. The woman knows how to what she wants and that is most of why he keeps her around. She knows how to get things DONE. “First sign a trouble though and we high tail our asses outta there alright?”

Though, Lisa could never deny that she wasn’t one to go out of her way to actually get to know the people that would most likely use the Sanctuary as a temporary shelter or, in the worst scenario, end up on the fence.

“The rations they passed out this week were shit, I’m starting  to think those assholes are hoarding stuff from us. Had no oil  this week so.. I might hand you a few ration cards if you could  find me some.” 

She pats her hand on the wheel on her wheelchair. Damn thing looks rusted to hell now but at least she could still move around in it. 

“Maybe you’ll find me a leg or two while you’re at it.” She laughs.

                   Feet shuffle along as the guard marches them down the hallway. Once he spots his backpack he stops merely feet from it. The guard snarls in his direction while pointing the gun into Joel’s back. “I said keep walking.” In an instant Joel springs into action without much thinking at all. One quick movement is all it takes. His elbow flies back making the gun jerk upwards and fire giving Joel ample time to grab the gun from his grasp.  “Where is the operatin’ room?” There’s a pause with the gun pressed against the goon’s waist. Hesitation. Nope. Not going to work here. “I ain’t got time for this.” Finger pulls the trigger blasting a round into the man’s waist. “Where?”
