Now... is a blessing. Get to know your family Admire the beauty you leave home too early to see and return too late to notice. Get to know your children Notice the cracks in your walls The leaks in your roofs The crooked paintings needing your touch See the cobwebs in your abandoned parts Fix your chi and chin. Now there’s no rush Hug a little longer There’s no train to catch No plane to miss No critical deadlines No overdue promotions This lockdown is a lifeline Enjoy the cleaner air Write that book now Switch off the alarm clock Sleep. Live. Again. WE will continue to shine. Through the mud. Through it all. WE always have. WE always will. As African Americans with families rooted deep in the US, the blood and strength of our ancestors before us runs through our veins. When you see us, you see the millions of strong black bodies that have laid down their lives to get us to this point. When you see us you see an army 🙏🏾 #blacklivesmatter #blackpride #stopkillingus #weshallovercome https://www.instagram.com/p/CA5jvy9hlGo/?igshid=1t10z3bh3iq97

Hey all. I just gotta say this cus if I don't I think I'm gonna burst.
I know this isn't ME, DA or usual content here, but this needs to be said.
I live in Ireland, so I've been watching at the edge of my seat. Donating to every charity I possibly can to help, even in a small way. Sharing information. People's stories. Unfriending some rascists. 😬
I wish I could march alongside you. But I can't. Our vigils in our country have been cancelled and people here are still scared of the virus. I'll do what I can from here. I won't stop.
So to all my followers, to any of you who are POC, to anyone who has been discriminated against, to those of you who are marchers and protesters, to those of you who have finally had enough of this goddamn horror show, to all of you who are tired, teargassed and being shot at with rubber bullets. To all of you who are angry, upset, speechlessly so that the only thing left now to do is act.
I see you and I commend you. The world sees you and your struggle. I have the utmost faith that you all will win this battle. This is a genuine Good vs Evil struggle right here.
You are right. You are valid. You will overcome.
For those who have had cops burst through your doors in the middle of the night unlawfully.
For those who have had guns pointed at you. And at your children.
For those of you who have been followed through a store unnessecarily.
For those of you who have had people cross the street to avoid passing you.
For those of you who have been stopped and detained without a valid reason.
For those of you who suffer for just being a different fucking skin colour in a society that tries to engineer your downfall with gerrymandering and other political tatctics.
I see you. The world sees you. Keep marching. Keep up the pressure.
Never give in because that's what these racist, misogynistic, xenophobic cops and officials want. They want this moment to fade away like every news story now a days.
Keep marching. Until they crumble. And by god they will crumble.
This isn't just some news story. This is people's lives.
For George Floyd. For Breonna Taylor. For Ahmed Aubrey. For Sam Dubose. For Freddie Gray. For ever single person wrongfully, maliciously taken from their families by a system that is rigged against you.
I see you. And I can never know your struggle or understand your pain. But god fucking damnit I'm gonna do my part to help. In any way I possibly can. And I urge you, anyone who can protest, do so, peacefully. Anyone who can spare a few bucks, donate. Anyone who has a voice, say something. Anyone who can do ANYTHING to help. Do it. This is our generation we are fighting for. These are people, friends, neighbours, healthcare workers, grocery baggers, these are YOUR PEOPLE. OUR PEOPLE. You cannot flip to another channel. You cannot ignore this.
See them. Know them. Help them. Make a differnace.
I love you all. Be safe.
We shall overcome.
Black Lives Matter.

#repost “I would just like to thank Governor Northam for helping to show the country and the world that we are not as divided as some would like us to believe. People from all walks of life, backgrounds, nationalities, sexual orientations, political parties, etc, came together and stood together today in Virginia. When you consider MLK was denied his right to conceal and carry in this country when his life was being threatened! I cannot think of a more perfect day for this to have went down.” #weshallovercome #2a #wearevirgina #1a (at Virgina/North Carolina State Line) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7lhGsXp9jL/?igshid=1qn5evofkuqw1
