When scoring extremely hot peppers, itâs always a good idea to do so after theyâve been frozen.
Many, many years ago in Madison, Wisconsin there was a peaceful protest that happened for FIVE years on the Mifflin Street Green. This was done because of the stigma attached to smoking weed and how those that participated would rob, pillage and create mayhem when stoned.
Growers would walk around with Hefty Trash bags FILLED and handed out leaf to all that were there to change the laws.
It took five years but the breakthrough came when the law changed to a $15 fine. You could walk down the streets, tip your hat to an officer, and walk on by without fear.
What has recently occurred was unfortunate. But it was also a violation done while under the umbrella of the International Olympic Committee. Rules and regulations meant to keep all athletes on the same, level playing field. Each and every Olympic contender knows what is allowable and what is not.
How the incident occurred, whose lapse of judgment was at fault, why no one brought up the issue is all at suspect.
But the fact is, without rules and regulations AT ANY LEVEL, creates chaos. Your friendships have them, your jobs have them, the games you participate in have them. And when you choose to not follow the rules and regulations in any of those possibilities, you have a penalty to serve. You may be kicked out of your clique, suspended or fired from your job, admission to the game put on hold.
The incident in question was not done in protest against the standing rules and regulations. If it was, I could appreciate the effort. But it wasnât. It wasnât done to change anything other than her own consciousness. Which, again, I have no problem with. Her choice, her responsibility.
She made a choice, she needs to accept the responsibility that is attached to it.
Being the greatest is also a responsibility. Youâre in the spotlight. To blatantly flaunt the law and then attempt to get away scott free, tells those young fans, who idolize her, that they should be able to do what they want, regardless because if the laws donât pertain to their idol, then laws donât pertain to them.
I know the politics of sports. How the top athletes can be excused for their behavior. First hand. It should never happen at any level. To any player. Fines are made so you donât repeat the same offensive action again. Learn from them. Stop trying to get around them.
Change that which needs to be changed. But do it correctly. Accept the fact that whatever society you chose to participate in has rules you MUST follow. And admit when youâve made a mistake. It makes you human. And stronger in the eyes of those that follow you.
Everybody falls. Everybody fails. The strongest get up, brush themselves off, remembers that mistake and does everything in their power to not let it happen again.
my thousands of stones
Canât find my way outta three dollar suit Feel incompetent Feel thrown for a loop
See rapture and roses And fall into dust With the clouds in my eyes Just about to go bust
Where the hell am I going Where the fuck have I been Can feel my blood flowing In and out of my skin
For I must be blind Cannot hear myself scream And the screen On the stage Hides the fear of my dreams
No longer relate to the one Iâve become Itâs the clown from the circus In a cage rife with thorns Who is trying to laugh through the tears they must shed Like a coat thatâs grown tattered From years long adorned
Yet remains for eternity Constantly cast Hands outstretched waiting For lifeâs second chance
When it dawns on this mortal Reproached in a shell That the only one quaking is Me while I dwell
Within mind over mind Can I ever be true To the one Iâve held blue And bided my time âTis been here all along Gentle heartbeats align
Hear the thump thump In unison As I stare in the mirror At my greatest achievement Thatâs been hidden for years
Can I find within reason and break from the ice Can I conquer the distance Without thinking twice
Itâs a chance I must take Neither fear or remorse For Iâm sure of my image On journeyâs recourse
Through the twists and the turns Through the myriad lies Within major league mazes Left lost on the side
I contend and absolve And do hereby attain A contented reminder That I am still Sane though Iâm still in a loop And still groping in darkness To get rid of this suit A cheap imitation A steal at three bucks And if you call now I might just give a fuck As my elder is cast among my thousands of stones Itâs time for the real me to finally stay home.

I'm sorry. I have a congenital disorder which impeded both puberty and my body's growth. It's hard to be taken seriously looking so very young. Things have to be modified so i can use them. There's not much made in my size that isn't play equipment, toys or other things meant to corral restrict and control very young children. I'm under the legal care of my mom and sister. .Hard coping with a baby daycare client style body and looks. It is especially fraught dealing with my younger sister.
And yet you respond in an intellectual manner signifying your ability to parse. Use that to your advantage. The way you look doesnât matter where intelligence, math and science are concerned. Looks donât matter where reasoning is key. What matters is your own mental image of yourself. How you impact you. Itâs all subjective, predicated on ideals set either by âyouâ or by âthemâ. If you allow society to complete you, you can never grow. If you believe in yourself, you have nowhere to go but up. You have a gift of creativity. Let your ideas run wild. Document your progression. Start writing about stuff. Just because it isnât now, doesnât mean it canât be later. Progressions in both math and science started with a single thought.

And yet you can answer in an intelligible manner which says that mentally youâre capable. So thereâs your outlet. Mental Image Manipulation. In other words, creativity. Ideas. I volunteer for CERT and because I created activated carbon and poly masks, I was tasked to created a mask that can be used by medical personnel to hydrate without removing the mask, yet still cling to the user. I had a working model done at the end of the week using everyday items.
I canât see why you canât use your intellect to your advantage as well.
Hi i'm Robert. I am dis-abled and the current corona lockdown is getting to me. Can i talk with you??
How is it getting to you? I have PTSD and an acute anxiety disorder. I find things to do to occupy my mind. Like cleaning up, starting a garden, sewing masks, building things for friends. I wake up with a headache and go to bed with one, even tho Iâm on meds. Youâre not alone in the struggle.

Compassion vs Cruelty
Where does compassion end and cruelty begins?
Is it compassion that allows us to keep one in excruciating pain with no resolution of recovery possible? Or is this cruelty instead?
We are taught to respect life and to be compassionate towards others regardless of who or what they are or believe in.
Yet when we have opportunity to end that suffering in a painless way, inducing them to sleep, are we being cruel to that life because we have not allowed that life to end on its own time, regardless of how extremely painful that time puts them through? Or are we being compassionate towards that life, knowing that their unfounded pain will finally cease?
It was time to trim the hedges!!
âThe reprogramming of a conditioned mind is a delicate operation that cannot be taken lightly. Multiply that operation by the number of years the programs have been in execution and their extents into the learning processes one experiences on a daily basis and you have an extremely large can of worms youâre opening.â

I Never Really Met You
We were never introduced to one another
Properly or otherwise.
You hid in the background
Stepping out of the shadows for less time
Than the flick of a flame
Shuddering from the cold
Stare of impending consequence.
You braised consciousness whenever bristled
Convicting for pleasure
Condemning self-worth in exchange
For insanity upon the endless field of battle
Weighing the value of invisibility
And silence within the realm
Against innocence and youth.
You held me within boundaries untouched
Rhymed or reasoned.
My interest in the why would wane
Once the freshness of pique became apparent
And wonderment took a backseat
To the inevitability of psychologic
Discretion on my welfare.
I never really met you before I found you
Feigning misdirection.
Rhetorically abounding
Amidst confusitory extensions of reality
Designed wholly to disintegrate
The possibility that I could ever
Consciously survive on my own.

Two Sparkling Businesses
âDo the right thingâ
I have dealt with Midas in Fairfield, Ct for well over 20 years. In that time I have never had a complaint. As a matter of fact, I have seen them go above board to satisfy customers.
I have also dealt with NAPA Auto Parts for a number of years. Rarely have I had a problem, and when I did, they were always quick with a resolution.
These two are NOT part of the nightmare I was placed into by a major auto dealership. Both #Midas and #Napa proved to go beyond expectations and deserve your business for it.
My neighbor works at the dealership and offered to get me a steering gear box for my van at her cost, which was very nice of her. They didnât have the part so they ordered one from NAPA. When it was delivered to the dealership, I was notified and had my wife go down to the Parts Department and pay for it.
I had Midas install the part because they have an extremely competent mechanic that has been working on my vehicle for as long as he has been employed there. There has never been an issue with installation of any kind.
After receiving my van back, I drove no more than 30 miles before the gearbox secondary seal blew out while I was driving home with my family. It was near impossible to get it back to my house. It was there, in my driveway, that I discovered my power steering fluid all over my van and dripping onto the driveway.
Midas confirmed the problem and notified me I would be liable for the labor to reinstall the part since the part was defective, not the installation of the part. And so I called the dealership I purchased the part from that guaranteed replacement.
And here is where the nightmare begins.
I called the parts department at the dealership and got into a pissing contest so I asked that my issue get escalated. I was told it would be. Hours later, nothing. So I filled out an online request form and received an email from an employee higher up the ladder. I told her of my problem and she suggested I speak to their Service Manager. I responded I would rather it be kept in house without any more of my involvement since it was already hostile with the parts department.
The dealership said they would give me a new part but they would not replace it for free because they didnât install it. I can understand if there was a question of installation. By me or someone incapable of mechanics and not in the possession of a certificate from UTI or some other qualified school. The dealership also argued that since it came from NAPA, it was their responsibility.
I sent another email to the higher-up, explaining my reasons as to why the dealership should assume liability and replace the part since the labor itself was 3.5 hours long. Quite expensive. She responded that I would be receiving a phone call the next day to resolve the problem.
The next day, after some telephone tag, I was told by a Parts Manager in a very offensive way, that I was to call NAPA and speak to their representative as they were going to assume responsibility and pay for the labor. To which I was happy to call about. But once I did, I found some unpleasantness perpetrated by the dealership against my own character.
NAPA was told by the dealership that, firstly, I purchased the part through my neighbor and NOT the dealership, so they werenât liable for anything but NAPA was. And then to top it off...they told the Representative from NAPA that I threatened to take the dealership to Small Claims Court!!
I informed NAPA of the dealershipâs indiscretions as well as applauding NAPA for stepping up to the plate. All I really wanted was for the Dealership to do the right thing. All they wanted to do was the opposite. Bad mouth me and my neighbor and liable my good character.
Presently, my van is being worked on, thanks to the good graces of Midas and NAPA. They made the effort to do the right thing regardless of what their actual liabilities were. It shows INTEGRITY in a company when they perform in manners like this. It shows Customer Worth when they act like this. Company behavior like this should be applauded and recognized in a world where too many businesses believe they are the special ones.
