Some highlights from a small zoom literary conference on Balkan literature where I was the only one from Central Europe:

First speaker, a lady from UK in her fifties, opened with "UK publishing is imperialist but we all know that, right, and The Big 5 are gatekeepers, which we also know." *cue professionals from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosna and Serbia all nodding their heads in unison in their little zoom windows* The lady continues to drop one bomb after another, ending with: "Only 4% of books published in the UK are translations. UK publishers are too lazy to fill grant applications and pay translators to have any translated literature." After a 5 minute break the moderator said: "It's good to see you back in your offices, basements and cars." "It's not like the current literary trends are just about the conflict in the nineties, this is very much a thing of the past now." *recommends three new books about the conflict in the nineties* I had fun, it was informative, the people were nice.

Drawing to a contest i Don't win, meh… That’s not awfull i was in the top 10 choosen one.

the sentence was “draw Chuck Norris with an unicorn”. Well, i have discovered Chuck Norris in the show Walker Texas Ranger so i drawn him as an alone cowboy. 

I’ve passed some afternoons with my grandparents to see it in plus of Hercules Poirot, Barnaby or documentaries. I really love their moments of my chilhood in the soft sofa. ^v^

People who list “Serbian, Croatian, and Bosnian” as three separate languages under their “spoken languages” on profiles are so fucking extra I can’t handle it. Choose one they’re all basically the same. It’s like listing “Latin American and Iberian Spanish” or “American, British and Irish English”.
