West x north
I always love a new spin on the wizard of oz there’s so many ways to take the ideas and concepts and it’s all nice and public domain too
I wanted to really play with the directions much more so, Glinda became more “north” (even if in the books she’s the witch of the south) and w.w (or elphaba) became more “west”
W.W, ( i need an actual name for her) has a poncho instead of a cape, leather boots, gloves and her hat, and leans in with more gold in her design. I wanted a fire-gunpowder motif. Not pictured here is that her broom is one of those blown up shotguns with a wooden base that she uses as a focus for spellcasting. She’s the type to be on wanted posters
Glinda, is based mostly off her 1939 film look but with some of my own flair. Her crown is now a sort of Cossack, her bubble motif is communicated with pearls on her outfit. The sillouette of her dress was altered just a bit to look like an 80s wedding dress because I like the shapes and they fit the movie/ covering her more since I wanted her to look kinda prepared for the cold. The layers of the dress I wanted to be almost shell like in structure, the insides of them being underneath the pleats. The glitter also is sorta snowy too. I wanted her to be slightly iridescent
