The English city of Canterbury is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Westgate is still there, though its surroundings have significantly changed over the centuries.

Canterbury by Nicola Abraham
I love that Westgate and Crosby got to meet, and that she could be there for him as a fellow soldier, like Bubbles would have been, and also I think she reminded him of his wife. He looked at her a couple of times like he was thinking about Jean. It was the same smile, the same sort of half-closed eyes happiness.
But he was appreciating her as her own person, too. She's not Bubbles. She's not Jean. She's Westgate. And I really like that we got to have this moment of quiet for Crosby, which is 100% the goal behind sending him to Oxford.
