Repost @flowerswinery Our Sea View Ridge vineyard is perched upon Smith Ridge, higher and closer to the ocean than our Camp Meeting Ridge Vineyard. Elevations range from 1,400 to 1,800 feet — well above the ocean fog layers that cool the vineyard from below. With special consideration to elevation and other characteristics specific to growing wine grapes in this rugged region, the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA was carved out from the larger Sonoma Coast AVA in 2011.
