That was the only warning Soul had given his brother. The next step was quick, and Soul knew it was not going to end well but fuck him.
Soul knocked the drink out of his brother’s hand. The glass shattered against the bar. He slammed a bill on the counter. “Get up.” he growled dangerously at Wes.

Mare silently watched the other as he tinkered away, head tilted curiously to one side, brow quirked, and lips pursed in what could be no less than the look of a confused child N O T that she was one!! “What’s that supposed to be??”
Still strongly ignoring Wes

Tis the season or so some say. Soul usually wasn’t into parties, but he knew Maka would enjoy it. An entire family affair at that. He was already regretting his choice of attire. A simple pair of jeans, t-shirt, and school jacket. Soul growled internally at himself. Why he’d let the mere idea of his family being there set his mind racing irked him. Cool guys don’t freak out about Christmas dinner.
Before he could change a loud rasping knock hit the door. Soul took a breath, calming his nerves. What would they think of him now? The knock came a second time. “I’m comin’,” he called reaching the door a second later to open it.

“Pfft--! That shit wouldn’t affect me.” he isn’t old enough nor does he have a desire to drink. “Consider me like the best chauffeur in the world or something. You get drinks, I get drunks who try to pick a fight with me.” he chuckled. “It’s funny to watch ‘em take a swing at me and fall on their face.” a GODLY bodyguard? Sure.

“You’re the one who brought up an entirely new topic. But sure, blame me for it.”
