So I posted this on my DA already but for those of you who might not use DA, I thought I'd update here as well.  Thanks to those who voted!!  Wesyng led the poll by a good margin so I'm going to do his background story first.  I do plan on doing them all eventually.  I jumped right in, because I was totally starting to panic when I didn't know what to work on after work yesterday.  The tone of his story is a bit different then where the main story arc was heading so it's kind of a nice change up for me.  A bit of a guilty pleasure too. mwahaha.  He's probably got the most messed up drama going on out of the three mains.  

I did say I wasn't going to go crazy with the spoilers and warnings and such, but I felt compelled to say a small disclaimer, since the short story is a bit more...oh heck with it.  It's got some sexy bits.

Taking a Poll for Witch's Quarry Character short.

So I'm pretty much finished the first major installment of Witch's Quarry chapters 1-6 and 177 pages. whee. The second book script needs a lot of work, and I have a few short character prequel stories fleshed out that I'd like to do while I work on refining book 2.   Since I try not to be biased with my characters, I'm curious to see if you have any preference to which character's story is explored a bit.  These are all prequel tales, and are neither necessary to the current story, neither do they spoil things in the current plot.  They just would grant a bit of insight.  Please vote!! and if you haven't read Witch's Quarry, it's updated daily at

characters say the darnest things...

I made an illustration of Jethry yesterday and posted on DA.  Witch's Quarry is still updated daily in color and will be through the rest of June and July unless otherwise announced.  And holy crap I have over 200 watchers.  Thanks so much ;_; happiness!

As a responsible writer, I would never play favorites.  Okay I have a few confessions to make.  My characters have pretty much taken over my story and are a rather unruly bunch.  I find myself having a harder time keeping them under reign, and they are doing and saying things I never thought my deepest subconscious could possibly come up with.

It's kind of amusing me to no end.  I guess as someone who hasn't had children, they are the equivalent of watching ebuams videos of random kids saying the "f" word or something.  just gives me the giggles.  Sometimes I'm very tempted to edit what they say.  Vee is usually very tame and easy to handle of course, but Wesyng and Deia are like my black sheep.

Wesyng wasn't supposed to even be in half the scenes he's butting in chapters 4 and 5.  He was supposed to get left behind in the whole "omg vee needs medical attention" scramble and get lost in the woods but his role has increased significantly from original conception.  Congratulations Wes.  You managed to forcefully insert yourself from minor comedic relief to major player.  I'm sure you are pleased with yourself as usual. 

I was originally going to end chapter 6 with a totally inappropriately fun scene, but pushed it to chapter 7 instead.  I'm taking back some control of the major events at least dammit.

Witch's Quarry is on page 80!

Today I worked on an illustration for fun.

Since I decided that Creator Adept had too many problems that I couldn't salvage, I scrapped it completely to work on Witch's Quarry.  They share some of the same ideas.

Well I realized that I needed three more knights for the second book, which will focus more on the conflict between the northern kingdoms and the southern theocracy.  I had three characters I couldn't use from creator adept.  Sooo....instead of mages, "poof" they will be knights!  Mayrune and Jules got smooshed together into one character and now she's Mules!  J/k, I'm going to stick with Jules, because I think her personality and looks, is closer to a younger version of that character.

There should be more costumes like the ones in 300

Today was a short day at work.  I was on my total A game.  I like to pride myself on my efficiency in everything I do, even when it's not something I am passionate about.  My supervisor actually complimented me so now I'm totally not minding my job again.  It takes so little to make me content.  It's a beautiful summer day outside.  I enjoyed it for a whole 5 minutes to my car and back before I plop back at my desk.  These things don't write and draw themselves!!

I was inspired by a picture that StudioKawaii posted of their character dressed in the Spartan costume in the movie 300.  It's funny.  Even though I know what the costumes look like it still always retains a certain "shock" value when I see the guys parading around in their skimpy little "armor".  Like 100x more than seeing a fully naked lady.  I decided it must be from lack of exposure.  So obviously we need more costumes like the ones in 300.

Today's doodle is Wesyng and Deshad from Witch's Quarry.  They look near identical in many ways, but Wesyng is lucky he has an excuse to wear the formal surcoat.  He's scrawnier.  Notice he doesn't specify what he wants to touch.
