For the shyan week’s free day, I decided to make a rec list with my favorite shyan fics I’ve read so far. All these writers are fantastic and deserve all the kudos and comments, I love all these stories!

Shyan week 2k20 Day 2 Prompts: partners Type: headcanons

They are partners first as a joke. Shane says they are like partners in crime because none rats out the other when they take a little nap in the office or take a little bit more time for lunch. This is how friendship starts.

Ryan thinks of them as working partners for the first time when he asks Shane to be in his very first video after its approven by the company, Shane tries to not think much of the way it made him feel a million butterflies in his tummy.

When they start having movie nights and going to the cinema almost every weekend, no matter what other plans may precent, they don’t realize their partnership has changed but they laugh all the same.

Once in the Test Friends, it’s obvious who the dynamic duo is and the girls think it’s almost sweet, very adorable, that none of them realize the kind of partnership they have beyond work.

It becomes more profesional yet close when Ryan asks Shane to be part of Unsolved. They play it off as nothing, Shane feels giddy he’ll get to be in Ryan’s big baby project.

Traveling, Ryan sometimes puts his head on Shane’s shoulder while he looks out to the window in the plane or the rental car as TJ drives. Most of the times, Ryan remembers the music playing when he muses about what is that he has with Shane. One night, he realizes is a partnership, but it’s no longer just profesional and is maybe more than friendship.

When they voice these thoughts, it changes again.

It becomes a ‘forever’ when Steven says they should stop joking around and put their money, talent and faith in what they are saying when they hang out. They should make their own company. Together.

It’s sort of a marriage, one that also inclused good ol’ Steven, a partnership of three. It’s nice.

When they do get married, it’s still there and it lives on, and sometimes it’s still about not ratting the other out, watching movies on Friday night instead of going out, being a dynamic duo or trio, hanging out with Steven and making bigger plans than their wallets.

It all works out at the end.
