Nope, actually! I dunno why but I've never really had that part of my brain that wants to make OCs. I just like thinking really hard about what's already there and going from there... as a kid I had a self insert Org XIII member tho, lmao.

See what if I was a BADASS (and skinny) and had a KEYBLADE and was axel's contemporary assassin and and and. Well, my mom was really into Joan Jett so my hair kept getting cut feathered style, and I only really drew myself, so it kind of began and ended at the fantastic daydream 'what if Marluxia had brown hair'.

Something i thought would be interesting to ask your character's:

What is your oc's philosophy on life, more especificaly, what are their individual ideas of meaning?

(the things that drive them foward, the lessons in their life that made them the way they are, the backrounds they were born in that influence these aspects. those kinds of things)

been sitting on this for a while because I wanted to cook on it a bit... a juicy juicy steak of OC ideation...

it's interesting because in some ways I think Buck and Davey's base answers to these are, at least on the surface, kind of opposites. Buck's driving force really comes down to a drive for individuality - breaking free from his family and their expectations for him, claiming his own name and identity that wasn't picked for him by someone else, isolating himself from others both to be self-sufficient and in an attempt to protect himself. Davey's, on the other hand, really comes down to using himself and the things he does in service of others, either individually or for a "greater good" - putting himself physically and emotionally on the line to protect his loved ones, fighting against what he feels is wrong, always being the first to take the hit if it means it might spare someone else or make their lives better. and then at the same time, major core parts of them end up being totally contradictory to those drives - buck gets a lot of pleasure and comfort out of being submissive or even subservient to someone who's earned his trust, and tends to show he cares through acts of service; meanwhile Davey's extremely self-confident and even vain, and gets a lot out of being recognized or admired.

meanwhile, Minnie's young enough that I think her own philosophy and beliefs and drive are all kinda Still Cooking, but she's definitely pulling from bits and pieces of her guardians' and what they're (consciously or otherwise) teaching her - right now she's very driven by a need for recognition and especially recognition on her own terms, but deep down there's a lot more compassion and altruism than she'd like to admit.

If given the chance to go wild on the dancefloor, what are their moves like? Do they have any specific music preferences for dancing? Would Davey hold a red rose between his teeth while dancing with Buck?

tragically davey is the only one getting out on that dance floor buck has No Rhythm No Game and minnie's still on that Thirteen Years Old Type Self Consciousness. davey is out there with wild abandon. I think he leans less structured, more go-with-the-flow. he's a high-energy club music type of guy when it comes to dancing for the most part. but I think he can also pull out a serviceable waltz and maybe some other simple more formal dances if he's got to. he is Absolutely holding a rose in his teeth just look at him

Watching episode 32 of the RTVS podcast (Tittled A Real Warning), someone asked

''If you had an original sandwich named after you, what would be on it?, what type of bread would you use?, go as wild as you want, the sandwich should be deserving of your name and legacy'',

Bringing such classics as gir's sandwich ( A BLT with peperoni) and Holly's ( spicy garlic mayo, roasted red pepper, fried eggplant, grilled portobello mushroom and thin-sliced onion rings).

Im bringing this question to YOU (and frankie). What would your sandwich be?

oh damn. that's a good question (i need to listen to the rtvs podcast when i'm all caught up on my other ones, i like doing the 'listen to like 30 hours in one go' method)

i think anything described as a bug needs a wet and crunchy texture. so i'd say chunky scallion in there. maybe chunky scallion over thick turkey with mashed potatoes with mustard (and mayo?). kind of a vichyssoise thing. eat cold. maybe it would be good as a sourdough....

What would monster versions of your oc's would look like ?

i LOVE!!!!!!! weird monster Guys (gender inclusive) but am not necessarily the best at translating to Designs and Ideas For Designs so to answer this i assembled The High Council Of Monster Lovers (read: my friends jay and jake who are So damn smart and wise) and they gave me permission to share their thoughts. jay also did some Fucking Killer Original Designs as he is wont to do and That i will leave to his discretion to post or not but i Did get permission to share the discussion points from The Council

for buck: ideas included some manner of amalgamation type creature or Construct. elemental themes of rock and ice. dragon was proposed, specifically something "barroth-esque", with some kind of visible damage such as a docked tail or cut-off wings - some outer part of him torn off despite heavy armor. minotaur was proposed as a more "traditional" type of monster, both for the themes of monster of circumstance/monster as victim/monster as cursed and spurned by his own family, but also more importantly Fat Milkers Titty Joke.

for davey: cyborg was discussed right off the cuff as an easy answer, so naturally we decided to focus more on the deeper cuts. siren was a big agreed upon point, specifically something with influence from creatures like dolphins or sea lions - animals with a public perception of being friendly and cuddly and carefree, but that are, at their hearts, Large Carnivores. alternatively, influence of deep sea animals or gulper eels - something strong with bright, hypnotizing eyes. water as an elemental theme generally came through strong as a concept for him.

for minnie: Armored Creature of Some Kind was the prevailing theme. construct, amalgamation, what have you. themes drawn from hermit crabs, something carrying a heavy armor but also at constant risk of outgrowing it, themes of Growing Wrong. some kind of protective "false face" got brought up too. medusa was brought up as a more "traditional" monster type, for reason of "just vibes".
