A Penny
Whats the first thought that comes into your mind when you think of a penny?

Well How would you feel if some one made you feel like a penny. An odd thing to ask i know...
But what if i told you people are constantly being made to feel like penny's, they are nothing more than a currency to be sold and exchanged for pleasure or for help. They are abused and used in ways hard to comprehend. And they have no voice to speak about it.
Young Girls and Boys are sold to brothels and houses where they are repeatedly tormented, tortured and raped by adults, yet sex is a concept they don’t understand yet. Not only is this happening to young boys and girls but Men and Women alike. They are made to feel, well like a penny. But it is not only overseas in 3rd world countries Rape and Assault is happening in your own backyard to someone you know, a friend or relative or maybe even you. You may have been made to feel like a Penny.
But a Penny is not worthless while it may be viewed as so by some it is not by all. For a penny on a street at night found by the homeless is like a bag of diamonds. For we are all diamonds and more but it only takes one person to decide we are a penny to make us question our worth.
However when that person comes along to degrade us we will not be broken as we are diamonds and can’t break. So no matter what race, gender or sexuality lets stand strong and speak up for those who are not allowed a voice, for those who are made to feel broken. Lets speak up for those who have been assaulted no matter what race, gender or sexuality no matter who it was by or what age you were. You are brave, strong and most importantly you are survivors. Lets speak up for all that is right in the world and show that a mount of penny’s is worth more than anything in the world. Because i believe you.
